Chapter 964: THE FINAL BATTLE (30)

Aliana was not sure how the elders managed to purify the poisonous miasma from the people infected, she didn’t have time to ask about that too, but she noticed a small pocket that they held in turn.

Abby looked better and after a few days, they could continue their journey back toward the south, the air here was pretty clear and the pack member looked very anxious about the rumor of the poisonous miasma, you would be able to feel it in the air, as their first attempt was to flee from the continent through the harbor.

"We need to leave too, Abby," Elder Rose said, she stared at her daughter. They relationship was not magically fixed, but after the elders saved everyone, Abby was willing to have a civil conversation with her mother.

"I am not going to leave this continent," Abby said, she put down Bielle on the bed.

Currently, they stayed inside an inn in the Crystal Moon pack. Most of the pack member crowded the harbor, trying to get on board with the remaining merchant.

But, it would be hard for them because they had to wait for two weeks for more ships. By that time, they didn’t know whether the red smoke would reach this area or not.

"Are you going to die with them?" Elder Rose frowned. She didn’t like her decision. She needed to think of her daughter too, not only herself.

Abby didn’t answer her. She kissed her baby and then faced elder Rose, it was hard to read her impassive expression. "I don’t have a place in Holy Kingdom."

"What nonsense are you talking about? You are still the Serafim." Elder Rose approached Abby and held her hands. "Abby, that’s your place. We don’t know where is Rei now, maybe he had died somewhere in the poisonous miasma. You need to grab this opportunity to stabilize your position."

After everything that she had gone through, she even felt embarrassed to assume her position as the Serafim when she knew very well, who was the real one.

"Tell me where is Liam," Abby asked. Her voice was cold. "Tell me what happened to him." Her face turned darker when Elder Rose let go of her hands. She didn’t want to answer the question.

"Think about this again, Abby. You don’t belong in this place."

After saying that, Elder Rose rushed out of the room, as if she was afraid Abby would force the answer out of her mouth and this left Abby with a bitter feeling.

"Liam... where are you?" Abby touched her baby’s face. She looked like Liam, her nose, her eyes, her hair, everything about her was the evidence of Liam’s existence, but right now he was nowhere to be found.

Where he had gone?

==================================

Cane and Iris’s group finally received a report that the poisonous miasma had not yet reached the south area of this continent. Many people went to the south when the poisonous miasma started to spread from the Capital City and Red Claw pack.

Therefore, there was a big chance Aliana and the other went to that direction as well.

Ethan and Jace looked a little bit better with this news and they held their hope high. They would wake up early and try to walk as far as they could.

Therefore, when they finally reached Crystal Moon pack, it was only two days before the ships from Karam continent would be docked and many shifters were anxious to leave the continent.

They put their faith on alpha Cane, but the alpha’s whereabouts had become a question. Some people said, he had died along with his mate during the war and some of them said he had gone insane and stayed in the form of the lycan.

No one knew for sure about that.

Once they set foot in the Crystal Moon pack, Jace and Ethan immediately scoured the area to look for Aliana. It would be a challenge since there were a lot of people here, especially at the harbor. Their only fear was if Aliana chose to board the ship, thinking they had died and she had no one else here because of the absent of the communication.

Meanwhile, inside the inn, Cane was with his mate. This would be the first time they had their time alone without anyone surrounded them.

Iris was heavily pregnant, she would give birth anytime soon now and even though their situation was not really great, but this was better than they expected.

"No, Iris..." Cane said when Iris lifted his shirt. His eyes darkened to see the desire in her eyes.

"Why?" Iris pursed her lips, she had been restless because he didn’t allow her to go out to look for Aliana and the other due to the crowd, but when she wanted to have sometime alone with him, he looked reluctant to touch her. "Did I do something wrong?"

"You didn’t, love. But, I don’t want to hurt you," Cane whispered to her ear. He refused her advance, but he kept teasing her, which left Iris on the edge.

"You will not hurt me, Cane." Iris was being stubborn.

"You are going to give birth anytime soon, I don’t want to tire you out."

Cane had been making a big of deal about this, emphasizing the importance of rest to Iris. He didn’t want her to roam around. He didn’t let her lift anything. If he could, he would carry her everywhere.

He remembered how dreadful it was when Iris gave birth to their first set of twins. She was exhausted and almost didn’t make it. Therefore, she had to preserve all of her energy for the big moment, especially when she was going to give birth to another twins.

"But, I want it. I read somewhere that a sex will help during the birth." Iris sulked, she cupped his face and kissed him, while grinding her body against him, but her stomach made it difficult, which made Cane laughed at her attempt. "How dare you laugh." Iris was annoyed.

"You look so adorable," Cane said.

In the end, Cane couldn’t help it. He wanted it too. He always wanted her. He would make love to her for the rest of their life.

"Come here," Cane said, as he laid down and carefully position Iris above her, as she straddled him and made her blushed. "Comfortable?" he checked with her.

"Hm..." Iris mumbled sheepishly.

Well, they had reached this point, it would be better if she threw her stupid embarrassment out of the window, there was nothing to be embarrassed to wanting your mate, right?

Iris liked it whenever Cane touched her, his touch was gentle, but firm at the same time and he would always check with her if she felt uncomfortable or not, it was rather annoying, but also sweet.

And when it was done, Iris was spent, but satisfied, she felt sleepy, but suddenly she felt this sharp pain in her lower abdomen and she knew what that sign was.

"Cane?" Iris lifted her head, snuggled against his chest.

"Yes?" Cane nibbled on her ear gently.

"Don’t panic, but I think I am going to give birth."
