"That’s enough. That part is not required." Claudia cut in. Even if Frank had lost everything, she wasn’t comfortable with him knowing the truth yet.

"It’s okay Claudia. The least you can do now is tell your fake father the truth about everything before he finally dies." Bodhi said.

"It’s okay Claudia. He’s lost everything. He’s useless to us now." Elisa said with a smile as she held the hands of the man she once tossed aside and that of her daughter. In the end, these two are her real family.

"You wicked woman!" Frank yelled, his anger palpable. He couldn’t believe that for years, Elisa had made him hate his real child while this imposter grew up as his child. He had given Claudia the life his real daughter deserved. The worst part was that he had recently removed Harlow’s name from his will, making Claudia his only heir just as Elisa wanted.

He couldn’t believe the one person he tossed aside and treated like dirt was his real child. Elisa made him do so many DNA tests to be sure Harlow was his child, when in truth, her daughter was not his child.

Frank shook his head. This is not true. He had conducted DNA tests on Claudia too when she was little just to be sure, there’s no way his doctors must have lied to him.

"That’s not true. You can stop with the lies now Elisa, it will not change the fact that Claudia is my child." Frank tried to catch his breath.

The butler who had overheard the conversation frowned. He had suspected his mistress and this man were more than just old friends but he didn’t know how to expose them. He just didn’t have enough evidence.

All of the maids and male servants were equally shocked at the news.

"Stop dreaming Frank. We have the test results available to prove that. Claudia is Bodhi’s daughter, not yours. You lost. You’ve lost everything." Frank fell on his knee, his chest tightening more. This news was too much for him to carry alone. He was beyond heartbroken.

He couldn’t believe his life had been a lie all this while. Everything he thought he had has been a lie. The family he thought he had has been a lie.

"Now you better sign this before I make you do it." Elisa barked throwing the paper in her hands at the man on the floor. She had long awaited this moment. This was her freedom, the freedom she had craved all this while.

A streak of tears fell from Frank’s eyes and then came another from the next eyes. "Harlow," Frank muttered. That was his child, the only seed left of his precious wife.

These people had made him treat her unfairly, they had made him hate his precious daughter. He cast Harlow away and turned her into his enemy. The only person who truly cared about him. Frank felt like a fool. He felt like a big fool.

How can he ever apologize to Harlow? How can he ever make her forgive him? He has wronged her in so many ways. Ways he couldn’t imagine. He wondered how she was feeling at the moment.

Frank picked up the pen thrown at him and was about to sign the papers, "Sir, I wouldn’t do that if I were you." The butler said out to earn a glare from the trio. Even if he had no power, Frank has been a good boss to him. Even if strict at times, the man has been so good and generous to everyone.

"They’re clearly scamming you, sir." He added ignoring their glares.

"Shut up you fool." Bodhi barked as he glared angrily at the old man.

"It’s alright Pius, let them take everything. I don’t need the wealth anymore." Frank said nonchalantly. He didn’t need the money or the power, those things had made him forget what he truly needed.

All he wanted right now was Harlow’s forgiveness. If she can just forgive him for everything he’s done, then he can die a happy man.

"But sir..."

"It’s okay." Frank signed the papers and handed them back to Elisa. As the woman received it with happiness he said. "From now on, we’ve parted ways, don’t come back crying."

"Please Frank, what would mother need from a broke man like you?" Claudia was the one to laugh this time.
