When Claudia saw her mother walk in, she had been super happy, but that smile fell at Elisa’s next word.

"If you’re not here with a new plan to get me out, then leave. I don’t want to talk to you." Elisa turned around and started walking away. ƒгeewёbnovel.com

"I’m the only one you have left in this world," Claudia said bitterly. Losing her mother made her realize how cruel the world can be. This is her second chance at life, yet, it’s her worst. Everything and everyone was turning against her.

First, she lost Alanis to Harlow, then she got pregnant for the useless Hamilton son, and just when she thought her life was coming back and she would make Harlow pay. Her mother is arrested for fraud.

She’s lost all connections with every brand that worked with her before. Her agency is threatening to cut all ties with her if she doesn’t clear her name. Clear her name or they cut all ties with her. And right now, she’s been accused of stealing.

It was all over the news that she was a thief. Claudia was so sure they would cut all ties with her soon. All she was waiting for now was their call.

Did she reborn to get punished for everything she did to Harlow? But her punishment was too much. Even if she had been cruel to Harlow in the past, that doesn’t mean she has to suffer for it.

"I don’t care." Elisa shot back.

"I brought food, I’m sure you haven’t had anything decent since you got here." Claudia held herself from crying. Today might be her last day on earth and she wanted to spend it with her mother. Who knows what the loan sharks would do to her once she left this place?

"It’s your favorite. Chinese fried rice and roasted duck. Just how you like it." She added with a sweet smile and Elisa turned to look at her.

"You look thin and it’s not good for the baby. You need the food more than I do." Elisa turned around to leave again but before she could, "I need your help Mother." Claudia said.

"What’s your problem?" Claudia yelled. "Your mistake has gotten me into more trouble yet you’re giving me attitude. I should be the one mad at you for not planning everything first and now you’re locked in here." Elisa’s gaze softened at her daughter’s words.

"Today might be my last day on earth and it’s all your fault."

"How can you say that Claudia." Elias scolded.

"I’m locked in here and the least you can do for me and stay alive and wait till I get out." She continued.

"But you might never be able to get out." Claudia broke down, the calm facade she once showed was long gone. She cried because she was scared.

She didn’t mean to cry to her mother, but that’s the only person she had in this world. There is no love greater than the love of a mother no matter how evil she is.

"What is it, sweetheart? Why are you crying?" Came Elisa’s soft voice. It hurt her to see her daughter cry this way. It’s the reason she had been harsh on her earlier, she wanted Claudia to see that she was okay even if she was dying inside.

"M... Mother, I’ve been labeled a thief. E... Every... Everyone ha... Has turned against us. Including my husband’s family." Claudia’s words made Elisa frown.

Garth had promised to take care of her daughter and grandchild. She had given everything she owned to Garth, yet, she still somehow hurt her daughter.

"Calm down and tell me what happened Claudia we don’t have time," Elisa said. Claudia couldn’t tell her mother about the loan, it would only make her worry. Especially since the government has seized all of her money and given it to Frank after the fraud allegations.

Elisa had nothing left to her name anymore.

"I... I was desperate to get you out of here, so I tried to borrow a little money from the Hamiltons. But I got caught and Garth kept insulting me and labeling me a thief.

She even went as far as publicizing it on the news." Elisa frowned at this.

"That ungrateful wench." Elisa spat. Claudia gritted her teeth, she would do anything to deal with Garth even if it meant lying a little. As for the loan sharks, she cared less what they would do to her.

"I will deal with her," Elisa said.

"Make sure she’s behind bars with your mother. We can’t let her go free for everything she’s done to me and my child." Claudia added.

"Leave it up to me, I’ll deal with Garth myself."

"When you leave, get Bodhi for me. I need him to do the job for me." Claudia nodded.

"You should eat the rice and duck. I promise to bring chicken soup tomorrow." The moment Claudia rose from where she sat, the police officer who had spoken to her before stepped in.

"Your time is up young lady." She nodded and then picked up her bag. "Don’t forget Mother." She said to see Elisa nod. Claudia turned around and started walking away.

This is her revenge on Elisa for everything she’s done in this life and the last.

When Claudia reached her car, she sent a message to Bodhi before driving out of the police station. But the moment the gate closed, her car was surrounded by five black Prado. Claudia could feel her heart racing so wildly.

She knew they were after her, but she never thought it would be this soon.

A man in a black leather jacket and pants stepped out of one of the cars. He wore a dark shade, his head bald. His heavy chains made clicking sounds as he approached her. Claudia didn’t hesitate to step out of the car too.

Her frame tiny compared to the man standing before her.

"Where is my money Daddy’s princess?" He asked with a smile.

"Y... You saw the news right? We’ve lost everything, I... I’m still trying to come up with something." She said trying so hard to look unbothered even if she was about to pee in her pants.

"You said the same thing last week and the other. Do you take me as your fool?"
