Brenda gritted her teeth as she watched Alanis step out. She couldn’t take rejection, no one rejected her. She’s Brenda, a woman who makes every man hungry to have her, yet Alanis rejected her today.

He has no idea what he had just missed, she’ll show him.

Brenda walked through the curtain to see a few people standing in a corner with a ticket and key in their arms.

"Oh, I think your other half is here." One man among them said when he saw her. Brenda quickly walked to Alanis, her voice sweet and innocent as she spoke to him. "What going on Alanis? What are they doing here?" She asked.

"Are we already in the finish line?"

"Yes, you are. Welcome to the end of Spooky Clown booth. Now to leave, all you have to do is kiss your partner." A woman said.

"Oh, how sweet. The most beautiful couple we’ve seen today, I should take pictures of their kiss. We would pay you to have your faces printed on our social media handle. Huh?" A girl there said sweetly and Brenda smiled.

This was the best and perfect opportunity.

"Alanis, come on, we’re at the end already. A kiss is nothing." Brenda said to him.

She moved closer to him, "I know you hate me and want to be as far away from me as possible. A little kiss would do nothing, besides, I don’t think your wife would be mad." She tried to convince him further.

"I’ll wait for my wife," Alanis said. The thought of Harlow kissing that stupid man Brian made his blood boil.

"What? That’s not possible. We already passed through the sections, we can’t go back. Plus who knows how far Harlow and Brian are, we could wait for them outside." Brenda sounded desperate this time as she clung to him.

"Just a kiss Alanis, she wouldn’t know. It will be our little secret." She held his hand, practically begging to be kissed. But Alanis pushed her off. This made the other people there eye them suspiciously.

"What? Are they not a couple?" The other girl who had asked for a photo of them whispered to the other as they stared at them.

"Woah, why is he looking at her like he wants to kill her?"

Alanis ignored their gossip and stared at the curtain, but there was still no sign of his wife or Brian. So many stupid thoughts crossed his mind, each one turning him insane and he couldn’t take it anymore.

He groaned gently and stepped back into the curtain.

"You can’t go in there Alanis, that is not allowed." Brenda panicked. This was her moment, this was her chance to be with this man, yet and yet again, he still wouldn’t look at her. All he ever looked at was his stupid wife.

A woman who clearly does not value him.

"That is not allowed, tell him it’s not allowed," Brenda yelled at the men but they didn’t move. They just stared at her like a pathetic desperate woman.

"He said he’s going to fetch his wife, didn’t you hear that woman?" One of the women there said as she eyed the girl. She knew girls like this, all dressed up like prostitutes ready to snatch people’s husbands.

"Wait she’s not his wife?" A man there asked.

"From the hot man, she isn’t and he is going to find his wife." The other woman repeated.

"Oh, how shameless." The remarked.

"A whore fighting for the position of a wife." The older woman clicked her tongue as she stared at the young girl.

"There are so many single men around, why not just find yours? Why do young women like stealing people’s husbands?" They remarked.

"She can as well, come kiss Jim." They all laughed the the man’s remark.

"How dare you say such to me?" Brenda yelled at them. Today was already so frustrating and now this?

"You have no idea who I am. I’m not the mistress, I’m his wife. I’m the one wrong here. He’s going back to get his mistress." She cried out but the people there didn’t believe a word she said. They let her wallow in her delusion.

Alanis walked past the first curtain and then the next and the next to hear a scream coming from inside.

"Harlow." His steps were quick. He knows his wife’s voice from anywhere, he knew she was bluffing when she said she could go alone. He should have never trusted her.

When Alanis stepped inside the next curtain, the sight before him made him lose his last piece of sanity. His precious innocent little villain had wrapped herself around the stupid Brian who had a smile on his lips.

This pervert.

"I... It... It’s o.... okay." Brian’s hands were moving down to Harlow’s behind when a punch landed on his face. But Alanis was quick to hold his wife from falling along with the pervert on the floor.

"No Alanis he’s scared," Harlow said beside him, running to save Brian but Alanis held her back.

"Scared?" He grunted, eyes burning with rage. "He’s touching you everywhere and you say he’s scared?" He yelled at her for the first time. He wasn’t himself, all he wanted to do right now was beat this man to death.

How dare he lay those filthy hands on what was his?

No man dead or alive has the right to touch his wife.

"I... I only hugged him because we were scared. You should never have hit him like that." Harlow scolded more ignoring his anger.

Alanis moved his hands through his hair, scattering it like a madman as he smiled.

"Alright." He nodded. "I should never have punched him." He lunged towards the man on the floor immediately, a menacing smile displaying on his lips as he kicked him hard. Harlow’s eyes went wide.

"Alanis stop." She rushed towards him, but before she could get to him, another kick landed on Brian’s stomach and she spat blood. Harlow stepped in front of him immediately.

"Stop Alanis, you can’t behave like an animal in this place." She yelled at him.

"Ahh ahh ahhh, s... so what if I t... t... touched her? H... h... haven’t you b... b... been touching m... m... my wife all t... t... this while?" Brian asked and Harlow turned to look at him with wide eyes.

This stupid man had taken advantage of her?

"You!" Harlow groaned. And to think she pitied him.

"Alanis." She called coldly, "Don’t let me tell you twice. Kick him again." Harlow suddenly said and Alanis smiled.

"My pleasure."

"No, no, no... Ahhhhhhhh!!! Alanis’s kick this time was more brutal than the last. Brian felt like his entire body was going to explode. He spat out more blood.

"Let’s go." Alanis turned to Harlow, eyes dark but softening only for her. He scooped her up like she weighed nothing.

"You don’t have to carry me like this..." Harlow murmured, pretending to complain, but her arms circled his neck.

"Too bad. You’re mine," Alanis said.
