She stopped her footsteps when she saw Leo and the newcomers entering the gate of the city guard headquarters.

’Why are they here? Shouldn’t they be training in the forest by now?’

Countless questions popped up in her mind as she stared at them.

Like Scarlett, General Viviana was also startled.

They left the city yesterday, so they should be back in two weeks, not now.

"Why are you back? Shouldn’t you be training in the forest by now?" Scarlett inquired.

"Report, city mistress. We discovered important information while we were scouting the area for training newcomers, and Major General Georgia ordered us to return immediately." Major Leo explained their early return.

"Explain it," Scarlett commanded.

"It’s about magical beasts, city mistress." Major Leo began telling everything in detail.

As Scarlett was listening to him, her expression changed completely.

At first, she had assumed it was only a matter of magical beasts attacking newcomers, but as Leo continued to explain, she realized the situation was far more perilous than she had imagined.

It was no longer related to the life of one group.

It was related to the future of her city and her people!

"They are the cause behind the disaster that befell Verneau Town, and their next target is our city." Leo said, "Major General Georgia, Lieutenant Colonel Devan, Captain Alice and First Lieutenant Lewis are currently heading to the northern region to check the situation. They will relay any updates as soon as they gather more information."

"City mistress, should I create a small team to help them?" General Viviana inquired.

"Yes," Scarlett ordered Viviana to form a small group of five people.

"I will prepare it now, city mistress." After saluting, Viviana left.

"Major Leo, go to the outskirts and tell everyone to come back immediately." Scarlett told him to make an excuse because she didn’t want them to panic.

"Understood, city mistress." Major Leo responded.

Right after Leo led the newcomers to the training ground, Scarlett returned to her office.

She was no longer in the mood to check the progress of her troops, so she returned to her office.

Twenty tents were set up around the teleportation formation, and more than fifty magical beasts patrolled the area continuously.

Julzreon ordered him to secure the area, so Laiex set up camp around the formation right after arriving in the Framingburns forest.

"Don’t let any humans or magical beasts come near our camp. Kill them on sight if you see them." A 3-star Owl shouted.

"There are around five hundred magical beasts in this camp." Georgia mused.

’But why do I feel like their numbers are increasing every ten minutes?’

She shifted her gaze to the north area of the camp.

She signaled her subordinates to be careful before finally jumping from the tree, rushing towards the northern area.

"When will they arrive?" the goat threw another question at the leopard.

"Neldor said they would arrive in four to six days." The leopard answered.

Captain Alice clenched her fists in anger.

’Four to six days?’

She thought they still had at least two weeks to prepare for war, but she finally knew that she was wrong.

’I need to inform General Georgia about this immediately.’

She rose to her feet.

When she was about to jump to another tree, her gaze suddenly returned to the leopard and goat.

’Their necks are so smooth. It must be fun to slice it.’

She immediately shook her head when her crazy personality came out.

She glanced at them one last time before finally leaving, jumping from one tree to another.

"Lieutenant Lewis, go back to the city and tell the city mistress about this." General Georgia.

"Understood." Lieutenant Lewis responded.

"The rest of you gather more information but avoid any unnecessary confrontations. We can’t risk exposing our position." General Georgia uttered.

"Understood." Colonel Devan and Captain Alice responded in unison.
