Transmigrating to Modern Earth from the Future-Chapter 44: Conclusion
Chapter 44: Conclusion
Lumen continued his onslaught against the wolf, with the intense flames of his spear keeping the beast at bay, afraid to injure itself every time it attempted to block his attacks.
This turned out to be the biggest hindrance for the beast as it only allowed Lumen to get even more strikes in on the beast.
Only 1 minute after the wolf was a few metres away from killing Lumen, the tables had now turned with the wolf being too weak and injured to defend anymore.
Lumen was now only 1 final strike away from killing the Elite, and unlike the situation earlier he wouldn’t be tricked into another trap. He kept his distance as he gulped down a mana and health potion to replenish what little resources he had left.
Finally, he picked up his spear and with all of the energy left inside it along with another [Fire infusion], he threw it with all his might like a javelin towards to helpless beast.
A quiet yelp was heard, then..... silence.
No more sounds came from the beast, not the faint and exasperated breaths, not the occasional whimper or growl. Nothing.
Lumen confirmed the death of his most difficult foe so far by checking his system messages, and relief dawned upon him when he read the first one. freewebnσvel.cøm
[Ding! Killed Level 12 F tier Darkness Rabid Wolf (Elite)]
[Obtained 40,000 experience]
Even more messages followed, including a huge amount of experience, following the usual credits and even another well deserved two level ups.
However the last notification he had received was the one that caught his eye.
[Obtained title: The first Elite slayer]
[The first Elite slayer (Epic): A huge achievement! You are the first human of Earth to fight and kill an Elite beast in combat. +5% to all stats.]
Yet another title that gave him more upgrades to his stats, he was very happy about this. But he was even more happy to know that he was the first human to kill an Elite beast. This gave him a few very important pieces of info.
The first being that although it was still uncertain whether he was the strongest human in the tutorial currently, he was at least one of the strongest.
The other being that he was probably the only human that knew Elite beasts existed at the moment, and from seeing the full name of the wolf he was certain that he knew what classified them as elites too.
’Darkness Rabid Wolf’ was it’s name, and just from the ’Darkness’ prefix he finally knew where it drew it’s strength from.
Now that he thought about it, it made sense that the wolf was a user of the dark element as he had noticed traces of it throughout the fight.
The most obvious identifier being that it had black streaks of hair all over it’s body, setting it apart from the other Rabid wolves he had encountered before.
But this confirmed nothing for him until he recounted the wolf’s own black energy that clashed with his own mana to cause the shockwave sending both unconscious.
And finally, the fact that the wolf was in it’s natural environment, a dark cave with little light. This is probably where it drew most of it’s immense strength from, with tell tale signs of this during his fights when he couldn’t feel the wolf’s attacks affecting the airflow in the cave.
Knowing how Elite beasts acted and what made them strong was a big advantage to Lumen now, as while the other humans were busy struggling against them, he would already be working to use their weaknesses against them.
Of course those weaknesses being to drag them out of the advantages environment, either by physically taking the fight elsewhere or changing the environment itself.
Now, if he encountered any more Elite beasts in his quest to find the boss of the dungeon, he knew exactly what he should do to bring the fight in his favour.
However before he continued on through the cave, he took a much needed rest and setup camp a little over 100 metres away from the scene of the fight.
The effects from the health and mana potion were still working their magic in his body and he made sure to cast as many heals as his mana pool could handle to speed up his recovery as much as possible.
He cooked a very fulfilling meal using the corpse of one of the level 9 wolves he had stored in his inventory and only left bones by the time he was done.
Next he inspected his status to check on all of the changes that had been made over the last week of his excursion through the dungeon.

All of his major stats were now nearing or above 150, casting a stark difference on the previous Lumen before he had reached level 10, and including the two recent titles he had obtained, they had been brought even higher. He noticed through his math that the system rounded down any decimals left over from his +5% bonus to all stats given by defeating the elite beast.
He wasn’t too bothered about this though as he was very happy with his progress, the only thing that even slightly bothered him was his still shabby equipment that he had received at level 1. All he could hope for was that he found some gear suiting him either in the dungeon, like the Ring of Darden he had found in a treasure chest earlier.
But he left that to the future as he closed his interface, and closed his eyes, entering a deep slumber.
