Transmigrating to Modern Earth from the Future-Chapter 70: Unwavering Might

As the sun rose in the sky, Lumen revelled in the heightened senses he had obtained through the creation of the Mana Circulation technique.

It took him less than 10 minutes to pack up all of his things and prepare himself to continue the journey towards the centre of the tutorial, where he was hoping he could find far stronger beasts to challenge himself with as he was getting increasingly more bored as time passed where he only found weak F tier beasts, or no beasts at all.

Setting off once again, he was back in the valleys in less than half an hour as he reached a cliff that overlooked a huge drop into the valley below. Even with his current level at 26 and his evolution to the E tier, he would die if he fell from this height.

Standing at the crevice, he scanned the area below with his heightened sight and hearing, alongside his expanded range of perception. Below, he found many beasts lurking within the at least 10 kilometre long valley, and for the first time since he had re-entered the main tutorial, he felt the presence of a beast near the same level as himself.

’An E tier beast!’

The excitement and anticipation he was starting to lose from the lack of any strong beasts had regained a new light within him as he pinpointed the location of this beast, before speeding off towards the location he felt it resided in.

Taking out his Arcane spear, he placed his hand around the handle as he felt his mana start to rapidly flow into it, at a much quicker pace now that he had the Mana Circulation technique. The technique itself seemed to have provided him with an all around boost to everything mana related, even boosting the speed it took him to channel his mana into his spear, as well as reducing the time it takes for him to cast spells.

As soon as he reached within 100 metres of the target, he finally caught sight of the beast, which looked like a huge 10 metre long reptile, resembling a cross between a Komodo dragon and a crocodile.

Before attacking, he did a quick sweep of a 1 kilometre radius surrounding the beast, and finding not a single other beast he focused his attention back on the E tier beast laying ahead of him.

Instead of observing closely, he initiated the fight instantly as he felt the mana in his spear reduce when he launched a fiery blue arcane spear towards the reptile. The Fire infused spear exploded out at an incredible speed as it crossed the hundred metre gap and reached the reptile beast in an instant.

The spear landed right in front of the beast and exploded out with a small explosion, sending the beast toppling over onto it’s back in it’s surprise and shocked state.

It clearly wasn’t expecting a sudden enemy attack so early into the morning! It had been such a long time since any other being contested with the beast in terms of strength as it had reigned supreme in this area ever since it started residing there.

Clicking his tongue in annoyance at barely missing the target, he shook his head and used up even more of the energy filling the spear and launched another spear, aiming more carefully at the currently toppled over reptile beast at a closer distance of 70 metres this time.

As predicted, this time the spear actually made a direct hit with the beast’s underside as a great guttural howl came out of it’s mouth with a roar. The injury was made clear when the spear lodged inside it had lost it’s mana and dissipated into the air, leaving the wound open to further attacks.

A wide gaping hole was left in it’s stomach region, clearly being able to see organs barely holding back from spilling out.

In it’s rage, the beast flipped itself back over and locked onto it’s target, Lumen, instantly before charging towards him at a speed rivalling his own.

Not discouraged from seeing the huge monster running towards him at an incredible speed, Lumen smirked slightly to himself as he had found the perfect opportunity to test out one of his new skills.

’Warmage’s Unwavering Might!’

He chanted the skill’s name in his mind as he activated it the instant before the huge reptile was about to collide with him.

The second he activated it, he could feel the incredible power quelling up inside himself as his stats had received a 50% increase, nearing 600 in his highest stats!

The tides of the battle were instantly overturned as Lumen performed a shadow blink to dodge the incoming reptile, teleporting behind the beast as it turned around in confusion to look at Lumen’s new location, unable to determine how he managed to move so quickly.

Taking the opportunity to strike before the huge 10 metre monster managed to turn it’s body around to face him once more, he used his second skill he received upon his evolution to the E tier.

’Warpath Spear technique!’

With far greater power compared to before, the ground started rumbling in a 20 metre radius surrounding Lumen. Even the powerful reptile was unable to escape this miniature earthquake as it halted it’s rotation, barely able to maintain it’s balance.

While it was too busy focusing on staying upright, Lumen closed in with his huge increase in speed and agility, flaming spear in hand as he opted for close range combat while the duration of his Unwavering Might skill ticked down, only having 5 minutes to eliminate the beast before he would suffer a drop in stats for the next 10 minutes following that.

However he doubted he would need the full 5 minutes as he performed a massive leap off the ground, jumping over 5 metres before falling on top of the huge reptile. Taking the opportunity he had created, he lifted his spear and with overwhelming strength, plunged it with full force into the beast’s skull from behind, taking the beast out right then and there.

’It seems this skill is more suited for fighting beasts at a far higher level than myself.’
