Transmigrating to Modern Earth from the Future-Chapter 77: Heart of the tutorial
Chapter 77: Heart of the tutorial
For the next seven days, Lumen continued his relentless hunt, delving deeper into the heart of the forest with each passing night. His Arcane Spear being his only companion, bathed the landscape in blood with each kill, casting deep marks of battle into the forest in his wake.
Midnight was his chosen hour of departure, the world asleep, and the E-tier beasts unaware of the looming threat. His enhanced senses became finely attuned to the rhythms of the night, probing the forest for unknowing prey.
One unsettling revelation gripped Lumen—the E tier beasts were becoming active at night, a behaviour shift that unsettled the balance of the tutorial. Humans who had grown accustomed to the safety of the night were now vulnerable to these nocturnal predators.
Lumen foresaw the grim future—a surge in deaths as the tutorial’s final days approached, a death toll not at the hands of fellow humans, but from the jaws of these night prowlers. The forest’s dangers had multiplied.
Despite the looming threat, Lumen remained unwavering. He bypassed the timid F tier creatures, their presence no longer challenging enough. His goal was clear: he sought E tier adversaries to test his newfound abilities.
Renowned Hunter’s Stealth was his ultimate asset, a cloak of invisibility that allowed him to encroach upon the territories of formidable beasts without a trace.
The E tier creatures, with their impressive size and heightened senses, presented a challenge that exhilarated Lumen. He yearned for the thrill of facing them head-on, armed with his mastery of stealth.
His encounters became a deadly dance of predator and prey. The beasts sensed danger, but his invisible presence gave him the upper hand. Renowned Hunter’s Stealth couldn’t completely deceive their instincts, but it allowed him to strike from the shadows.
It was during these encounters that Lumen discovered the skill’s limitations—a subtle instinctual danger sense that alerted the beasts to potential threats. While it didn’t pinpoint his location, it prevented him from catching stronger beasts entirely off guard.
Still, he pressed on, his invisible form closing in on each unsuspecting quarry. With the Arcane Spear in hand, he struck with deadly precision, the flaming weapon finding its mark with uncanny accuracy.
Each kill added to his power and knowledge. His skills sharpened, and his understanding of the tutorial deepened. And as the nights turned into days, he would deactivate his stealth, bracing for the 48-hour cooldown period.
"The skill is absolutely overpowered but the cooldown really sucks..." he reminded himself. The forest remained vast, teeming with both peril and promise, and the thrill of the hunt was an irresistible lure.
Lumen’s journey had become an addiction, and he revelled in the tangible growth of his power. With each kill, he felt himself becoming a more formidable predator, a force to be reckoned with in this harsh world.

He was now hunting beasts far from his level more often than he encountered F tier beasts, which was quite a feat in itself. After his 7 day long relentless hunt, his level had already reached level 39, the same as that of the Horned Bear he had killed only a weak prior.
With renewed determination, he ventured deeper into the woods, no longer concealed by his stealth. His journey was far from over, and the forest, once a place of fear and mystery, had now become his hunting ground.
Seven days and nights passed, a blur of relentless pursuit, kills, and growth. The moon remained his steadfast companion, witnessing his transformation from a vulnerable human to an unseen predator.
On the seventh night of his hunt, he felt a subtle shift in the atmosphere. The air grew colder, and an eerie silence settled over the forest. It was as if the very woods held its breath in anticipation of what lay ahead.
Following his instincts, Lumen pressed forward, guided by an invisible force that drew him deeper into the heart of the tutorial. The canopy above him grew denser, and the towering trees seemed to converge, creating an almost otherworldly atmosphere.
The moon, a pale guardian in the night sky, illuminated his path, casting long shadows that danced with the swaying leaves. He moved with the grace of a seasoned hunter, every step taken with purpose.
Finally, as the first light of dawn began to break through the thick canopy, Lumen reached the centre of the tutorial. What he saw took his breath away, even to his standards.
Before him stretched a colossal mountain, its peak disappearing into the clouds far above. It was a mountain of unprecedented scale, stretching tens of kilometres into the sky, its massive form dwarfing everything around it.
It was as if the mountain itself was a living entity, a guardian of the tutorial’s secrets. Its sheer size and majesty left no doubt that it held the answers to the mysteries of this world.
Lumen stood at the foot of this awe-inspiring behemoth, his eyes wide with wonder. He had a feeling that something special would lie at the heart of the tutorial, and now that he was witnessing it all in front of his eyes he almost couldn’t believe that this colossal mountain was completely hidden to the eye unless one stood right before it at the centre of the tutorial.
Realistically, a mountain of this proportion should be visible from dozens or maybe even hundreds of kilometres away, yet Lumen had only caught sight of it when he stood right before it. Clearly there was a reason why this mountain was so hidden, and Lumen was eager to find out.
With newfound determination burning in his heart, Lumen knew that his journey had only just started. The mountain beckoned him, promising challenges and revelations beyond his wildest dreams, or nightmares... As he took his first step towards its towering slopes, he couldn’t help but feel that he was on the verge of discovering the true challenge of the tutorial.
