Chapter 558 THE WHITE WOLF AND CHAOS

Emily trembled in anger when she saw Eros's current condition. How could they do something like this to him?!

"RELEASE HIM!"

"I don't think the decision is yours to make, Emily," he said. "I will leave the two of you for half an hour."

And after saying that, the two guards left Emily alone there.

"Eros," she whisper- called him, her chest tightened when she saw him tied up by silver chair against the wall.

Emily came closer to the cell bars and pressed her body, as if by doing so, she could miraculously be with him.

"Eros, answer me." Emily was desperate for him to talk to her. "I am sorry, I am really sorry… are you okay? Are you hurt?"

Eros raised his head and then stared at Emily, this was the first time for him to stare at her like that. His eyes were so cold, those beautiful blue eyes filled with so much pain because of her betrayal and he seemed no longer wanted to hear whatever she was about to say.

"Leave, Emily. I don't want to see you here."

Eros didn't ask her to leave because he was worried about her, but because he didn't want to see her and this pained her so much to realize such thing.

"Eros, I am sorry, I did it because I need to. Alpha Liam had known your plan, he had figured it out, that's why he sent those warriors away."

"You can tell me, you can talk to me," Eros said, his voice was devoid from any warmth and right now, he was akin to talk to his enemy instead of the girl that he would trust his life with. "I don't realize it, since when you start to lie to me?"

Emily swallowed so hard, her voice stuck on her throat, as she couldn't find a word to answer him.

"Why didn't you tell me about it?"

Emily bit her lip, she watched how the silver chain ate Eros's wrist and he was bleeding profusely because his healing ability couldn't heal such thing very fast, he would be in so much pain if he was kept that way.

What the hell Liam was thinking? When he was already put the bracelet on him, which prevented him from shifting to his beast.

"Because…" Emily swallowed hard. "Because the alpha said that he would let you go, he will keep you alive… you are not in the list, our name is not in the list."

Eros laughed out loud when he heard that, as if that was the most funniest thing that he ever heard. "Do you really believe that? My name supposed to be on top of the list, it is your name that is not there!"

Eros didn't allow them to put Emily's name on the list because he didn't want her to be implicated, even if the plan was failed, since she was one of the best healers in this pack, Liam would reconsider his decision to kill her, especially when they were on an important project with the organization.

Emily's knowledge would be able to save her if Liam would execute Ariana.

Eros realized that he was manipulating Colton to agree with not putting Emily's name on the list, but it was the last thing that he could do to protect Emily.

But right now, what Emily had done?

"What you have done, Emily?" Eros looked hurt and… disappointed in her. "My name is on the list. Liam only removed it because he wants to use you and you take the bait without even questioning it."

Emily felt her chest caved in, she was having a hard time to breath, as she looked at Eros's dull blue eyes, he was angry and cold. Those eyes were not the same eyes of the man, who would always protect her.

"Why didn't you say anything?"

"Alpha Liam…" Emily stammered. "Alpha Liam threatened to kill you if I talk about it…" Tears streamed down her face, she felt the extreme guilt, like a harsh wave that hit her so hard.

She remembered how Ariana was screaming when she was being killed and how Colton was so desperate to reach for his mate and did everything he could to save her, but none of that was matter, their fate had been written the moment they stepped into the hall, the moment Emily chose to side with the alpha.

"I am sorry, I am sorry… I didn't think straight… I was only thinking about how to save you. I just want you to live…" Emily sobbed against her palms, she fell on the ground, kneeling and crying.

"Live? This kind of life that you meant?" Eros scoffed. "Look at me, Emily. Look at me."

Emily was still crying, but she lifted her head to look at Eros.

"If I have to live like this, I will rather have been killed with Colton and the other in that main hall."

"Don't say something like that!" Emily screamed, she didn't want to hear such thing from him. "I know I am at fault here. I made a mistake…"

"Mistake?" Eros narrowed his eyes. "Can you see what the consequence of your mistake?"

Emily bit her tongue.

"You killed your own tutor, friends and their death… is on you." Eros gritted his teeth. He didn't use to hurt Emily like this and it hurt him too to see how she was crying. They had spent their life together for so many years, they leaned on each other so much.

However, Eros couldn't hold back his bitterness and anger to be treated this way. If only Emily talked to him… if only she spoke to him about Liam's threat, they could figure out something else and Colton didn't need to die.

He looked up to Colton, since he was the only decent person that Eros thought was worth to listen, but right now he was gone and he didn't know what else he needed to do in this circumstances.

With no plan, people and power, he was helpless and Eros hated to be in such position.

"Please, Eros… I am sorry."

"Did your 'sorry' will help? What can you do?"

Emily lowered her head and she cried against her palms again. She was trembling and when she was about to say something, the two guards entered the cell and told her that her time was up.

She needed to leave.

"Leave, Emily. I don't want to see you now." Eros couldn't help, but remembered the betrayal every time he saw her and this didn't help with his current condition. "Leave."

And with that, they took Emily away from the dungeon.

Emily didn't feel any better, if anything, she felt like she lost Eros, the trust that he put on her. The look on his eyes, the way he stared at her was so terrifying.

He would only look someone that he hated that way, but now he looked at her in the same way.

==========================

Zuri opened her eyes to find out that she was alone under the tree, while Chaos was nowhere to be found. She was left alone and laying on the cold ground.

However, from the way her body was still warm, Zuri was sure that Chaos used his power on her to keep her from being frozen.

"Chaos!" Zuri immediately got up and looked around, but she couldn't find him, she couldn't even sense his scent.

After that, she rushed toward the pack house to meet with Tia.

"Where is Chaos?" Zuri gasped for air, she was trembling, a lot of horrible things roamed around in her mind and she couldn't help, but thought the worst case scenario.

"The last time I saw him, was when you hugged him." Tia didn't look panic at all, she sipped her tea on her favorite chair.

"He is gone!" Zuri blurted out.

"Good. I don't like him to be here." 𝒇𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

"TIA!" Zuri roared, she was very upset because how ignorance she was. "Where is he!?"

"Why do you ask me? Why should I care where he was going? You are the one, who latched on him day and night, you should know about that better, since I don't care much about him.

Zuri was lost for words at this point. "Help me to find him."

"My help here is for you to figure out the power that the white wolf holds, aside from that, I don't care."

"You are my grandmother."

"And you are my granddaughter. Does that change something? I don't think so."

"Tia!" Zuri was lost for words, but she couldn't rebuke her for this, neither she could force her to do something to find Chaos. She knew where Tia was standing since the very beginning when it came about Chaos.

Tia sighed, she could see how determined his granddaughter was. "You look like your mother." Her daughter also chose to leave this pack to be with the person that she loved. "Zuri. You know that the moon Goddess sent the white wolf not only for accompanying Chaos, right? The Goddess sent the white wolf as a protection. To keep the demon inside of Chaos at bay, because when he ran rampant, there is nothing that could stop him and that's exactly what Aaron wanted. The devil wants to destroy this realm by using Chaos's power."

"What do you want to say?" Zuri narrowed her eyes, she felt Tia was talking in riddle.
