"God damn, Lil Beiming’s Attack is out of this world…" Li Chengfeng rubbed his palms together in joy.
He Yi echoed in agreement, "Yes, Beiming is the treasure of Ancient Sword. The Northern Alliance must be groaning themselves silly over a way to deal with a flying archer right now…"
Gui Guzi declared, "It doesn’t matter what they try. We’ll be there to protect her from all danger."
"Well said!"
Speak of the devil, a large group of Griffon Riders suddenly rose from the horizon. They were obviously planning to kill Beiming!
"I thought it was about time they lost their cool…" I said while scanning the enemy crowd. "Their current commander is Grief of the Dark. Let’s find an opportunity and snipe him later. Olympus is a massive 2-million-player guild. If we keep sniping their commanders, it’s only a matter of time before they collapse from their own weight!"
"Yeah." He Yi nodded while staring at the rallying Griffon Riders. “The Griffon is an incredibly rare Level 220 Heaven Rank mount. There are only 4 maps in the entire Northern Alliance domain that spawns the mount, and Olympus had monopolized one of them. Only super high-level players were allowed to own a Griffon[1], and currently they have a total of over 1000 Griffon Riders. It looks like Olympus was planning to keep their griffon squad hidden, but Beiming’s assault has forced them to reveal themselves."
I smiled. "Yeah. Beiming has high Attack, great accuracy and even aerial advantage right now. It is something they have to deal with. Anyway, get ready to receive the Griffon Riders. When they arrive, Beiming will withdraw to the back, and the rest of us will damage the Griffon Riders as much as possible. Our first mission of the day is to cripple Olympus or better, wipe them from the surface of the continent completely!"

"Retreat, Beiming!" I shouted.

Beiming Xue turned around without hesitation, canceled her mount, and fell straight toward the fortress.
Swhoosh! A shockwave spread across the sky as I exploded toward Beiming and caught her between my arms. On her own, there was no way she could’ve dodged all of the Thunder Spears. That was why she was relying on my greater speed to bail her out of the situation.
Meanwhile, hundreds of Thunder Spears reached the spot where Beiming Xue had been a moment earlier, detonating in a spectacular display of fireworks.
While I was flying away from the Griffon Riders, I turned my blade and cast the Xuanyuan Art the moment its 6-minute cooldown was finished. Deleting 70% of the Griffon Riders HP would make it so much easier for the others to deal with them!
"I’ll fight them!"
Gui Guzi rushed toward a group of Griffon Riders and thrust his halberd at them three times. He was able to skewer dozens with Death Flurry and turn them into bits of broken bones and flesh.

As the cyclone created by Coiling Dragon Revolution ripped through the Griffon Riders, He Yi and Lian Xin launched their own combos as well. Together, we had taken out nearly 200 Griffon Riders in total. However, the rain of Thunder Spears was so dense that He Yi had to beat a retreat after her health had fallen dangerously low, and Lian Xin just barely escaped death by the skin of her teeth. Beiming, activate your Range stratagem and order the Dragonlight Archers to shoot them when they’re about 100 yards away from you. We’re going to turn all these Griffon Riders into pincushions!"
Beiming Xue responded brightly, "Got it, big bro!"
Right after that, I activated Heavenly River Transformation and swung a Xuanyuan Slash at the enemy!
Blackjack’s eyes widened as he shouted, "Watch out, it’s the Xuanyuan Slash! Scatter!"
Thanks to Blackjack’s timely warning, my Xuanyuan Slash only managed to kill 100 or so players. The Griffon Riders also displayed incredible discipline by returning to formation right after they had dodged the skill.
"Thunder Spears on Broken Halberd Sinks Into Sand!" Blackjack ordered, following the order with deep resentment. "This is the man who has thwarted our efforts again and again! Today’s the day we settle our score with him!"
Hundreds of Thunder Spears rained toward me, but I was fearless because they were no Ancient Divine Skill. I placed my shield in front of myself, activated Profound Armor, and continued attacking the Griffon Riders like I wasn’t being bombarded by them!

I shuddered like a leaf as Thunder Spear after Thunder Spear struck my body. However, the damage numbers that appeared surprised not just Blackjack, but also myself—

Having triple the amount of Defense was just too good, especially since Unusual Physique was a skill that diminished or outright nullified all damage below a certain threshold. These Griffon Riders might be outstanding players within the Northern Alliance, but both their levels and equipment were far inferior to mine.
That being said, 300 Thunder Spears still equaled to around 10 million damage or so. Since the skill only had a cooldown of 12 seconds, it would only take the enemy 3 rounds at most to kill even me!
Blackjack raised his blade and encouraged his men, "Well done! Two more rounds like that, and Broken Halberd Sinks Into Sand will be knocked out of this war! Do what even Vienna’s Sorrow cannot do, Olympus!"
I didn’t hesitate to turn around and flew parallel to the wall.
As the 800 Griffon Riders chased behind me, Blackjack made a quick calculation inside his head before shouting, "Make sure you are at least 50 yards away from the walls! Also, throw your Trapping Nets at Broken Halberd Sinks Into Sand and immobilize him!"
I was afraid they wouldn’t eat the bait, so I purposely slowed down and allowed the Trapping Nets to hit me. Dozens of misses later, one of them finally took effect and immobilized me for 6 seconds.
As I fell toward the ground, I yelled in the guild channel, "Catch me please, Eve! It would be embarrassing if I died to fall damage here…"

The Holy Mages treated them to a baptism of magic, and less than half a minute later, the sky was completely free from their taint. All 800+ Griffon Riders landed on the ground as cold, dead corpses.
