If even the first and second best guilds of the Northern Alliance could barely break through the line of fire, it’s no wonder they annihilated Warsky Alliance’s Gold Cavalry so easily during the previous battles…"

Gui Guzi yelled in warning as a couple of gigantic figures emerged from dust and smoke. They were none other than the Ancient Immortal Rank bosses, the Mountain Giants. Their footsteps were slow and lumbering, but what they lacked in speed they made up in size and tankiness. A full volley from our archers didn’t even delete 1% of their HP, and the Mountain Giants could cross ten meters in a single step. As a result, they were able to break past our line of fire all too quickly!
"Watch out!"
I hurriedly flew dozens of meters forward before firing a Dragon Slaying Slash at a Mountain Giant’s head to aggro it. At the same time, I shouted, "Archers, stun these Mountain Giants with Shock Arrows! Our battle line will be fucked if they are allowed to attack as they pleased!"

Thye tanked the Scarlet Blade Cavalrymen’s charge head-on and retaliated with their own combos. Chaos reigned over the battle line in just the blink of an eye!
He Yi flew up to a Mountain Giant and caught its attention before yelling, "All first-rate players, aggro the Mountain Giants and keep them in one place as much as you can! The rest of you, focus on holding back the Scarlet Blade Cavalry!"
Very soon, Gui Guzi, Li Chengfeng, Heaven’s Rain, Diamond Dust, High Fighting Spirits, Eyes Like Water and more aggroed a Mountain Giant each and kept them busy. Everyone else pushed the battle line forward and defended against the Scarlet Blade Cavalry there. However, Blood Soul’s assault was brutal and relentless, and our 100k Profound Wolf Cavalrymen gradually faltered despite their best efforts!

She waved her scepter and froze dozens of Scarlet Blade Cavalrymen with an Ice Blast. However, the enemies were so numerous that at least a dozen or so cavalrymen were able to reach her unimpeded. They swung their blades at her ruthlessly!
Stranger of Three Lifetimes parried two blows in succession before planting her scepter on the ground. A gush of flames instantly engulfed the magic knights before her and dealt around 2 million fire damage to her. Not done yet, she turned toward another group of enemies and stretched her palm wide, chanting, "Dark Flame Hurricane!"
Dark Flame Hurricane was a skill that dealt continuous fire damage to a 100-yard radius area. Nearly every Scarlet Blade Cavalryman who were caught in the skill received over 5 million damage and were left dead or heavily injured. For a while, the Blood Soul players could only stare at her stupidly. Had a single mage really just interrupted their charge?

A harsh yell cut through the air. It was Soul Slayer descending on top of Stranger of Three Lifetimes on his green dragon!

Stranger of Three Lifetimes yelled in a panicked voice while looking upward. "Who will be the temporary commander, Lian Xin, Beiming? Your brother strayed a little too deep into the enemy lines!"
Lian Xin blasted a group of Scarlet Blade Cavalrymen into pieces before declaring, "I will. Big brother Xu Yang, muster 100k Thunder Cavalrymen to protect the walls! We cannot lose the walls so soon into the war!"
Xu Yang leaped down the rampart and gave his Omnislash a swing. "200k Thunder Cavalrymen, follow me! We’re going to attack the enemy and take their contribution points![3]"
The gate opened, and countless cavalrymen flushed out into the open. They engaged Blood Soul’s players under our ranged players’ suppressive fire.

I looked around me and noted that only a handful of my players such as High Fighting Spirits, Chaos Moon, Heaven’s Rain, Gui Guzi and more were still fighting on the frontline. Moreover, most of them were surrounded or close to being surrounded by Blood Soul’s players. Thank goodness Blood Soul were running out of players as well, or this would be quite the precarious situation!
I carved my way to Heaven’s Rain side and said, "We’re fighting our way back to the fortress, Little Rain. Otherwise, we’re all going to die here!"

Heaven’s Rain stayed close to me as we rounded up High Fighting Spirits, Eighteen Steeds of You and Yun, Chaos Moon and more. 3. T/N: In the raws, Xu Yang specifically said ‘we’re not going to defend, we’ll attack instead’. I didn’t translate it that way because it reads awkward. What this means is that the dude bent almost all of Lian Xin’s orders and did as he pleased lol ☜
