Chapter 56: Execution 5

While Oliver prepared to attack the M-fresh store, three high-ranked individuals were sent to guard it.

Two of them were B-rankers, and the remaining one was an A-ranker. They were experienced hunters whom the M-fresh family had hired.

The young master giggled just thinking about seeing Oliver’s scared face and hid inside the store. He wanted to see the action live.

Meanwhile, Oliver sneaked into the area behind the store.

From the front, it looked like a small building. But it had basement layers two to three floors deep, storing the majority of its goods.

’First, I need to sneak in without disabling any camera.’ Oliver thought while flipping the safety of his gun.

He was trying to be as sloppy as he could.

During his attack on M-Fresh, Oliver never used his ability. The only power he used was his ability to strengthen his body slightly with mana and the weapons in his hands, the guns he had, and the alloy sword.

This was to prevent himself from being easily identified.

And it worked out just fine.

’Today is the day.’ He thought and swiftly dashed onto the roof of the building.

Sneaking in was difficult. However, as an experienced thief, he slid a crowbar into the crevice between the door and easily opened it.

It was already way past midnight.

Although he caused some noise in the process, most of the shops nearby were closed. Only the people inside the M-fresh store noticed his presence.

The moment he opened the door, time began to tick. He had at most thirty minutes or less before a patrolling police car or a superhero team arrived.

Without further delay, Oliver dashed into the building at a crazy speed.

The mana in his body helped him pull crazy maneuvers as he zoomed toward the people inside. His body was moving like a fish in the water and was beelining towards the computers on the first floor.

His first target was the computer, and his second target was the money in the locker nearby.

None of the employees were superhumans, so they couldn’t even properly see as he zoomed into the core of the building.

Still, a few of them ran to the nearby phone to call the security team.

"This is too stupid, right?" The A-ranker, who looked at the video feed, said.

Although Oliver was unstoppable, they could clearly see his dark figure moving across the screen. He looked like he was rushing forth without a plan.

To be defeated at the hands of this kid and even calling A-rank hunters to deal with it disappointed him. It was like killing a fly with a bazooka. No, a ballistic missile.

"Yes, it is." Even the young master was perplexed by what he was seeing.

If Oliver was breaking into the store like that, why couldn’t the people he had previously hired stop him?

"He first goes for the computers, then for the money, and last for the refrigeration units." Someone else, who seemed to know Oliver’s modus operandi, said.

"And he will leave in fifteen minutes if everything happens as predicted." He added.

"If you know everything, why couldn’t you catch him?" The young master shouted.

They were currently in the security room, watching Oliver beat up the security guards that were sent to catch him.

Oliver’s body was glowing in a pale golden light as he knocked them unconscious one after another.

"I have to give it to him. His movements are smooth, and his martial arts skills are impeccable. I would have never thought it was an eighteen-year-old kid." Another person said while carefully watching the video feed.

The young master never gives face to anyone, but this time, he politely asked, "Sir, can you help us catch him?"

He was asking the A-ranker wearing a suit.

"I don’t think I would have to move. They would be enough." He replied, pointing at the B-rankers who came with him.

Both the B rankers had control-type ability, which could manipulate water. They were professionals at capturing their prey without killing.

"You should get to it." He added and returned to watching the camera feeds.

Immediately, the two B rankers ran up the stairs into the room where Oliver was.

Oliver soon noticed two people wearing black suits walk towards him. They didn’t look like your average thugs to him.

’Finally.’ He breathed a sigh of relief.

It has been too long since he fought people who can really fight. He was excited.

The aura of the two who had just appeared gave him hope.

He could feel the mana rumbling in their body. novelbuddy.cσ๓

"Peak C rankers or B rankers?" Oliver tilted his head and muttered.

His voice was very low. No one should have been able to hear it.

Still, the duo that appeared stopped a couple of meters away from Oliver and smiled.

"B rank." They both said simultaneously.

They seemed to have read his lips.

"That’s a fancy word for slightly above average, right?" Oliver returned the smile and spoke clearly this time.

"If we are average, what are you, pipsqueak?" One of the men spoke.

"Pipsqueak? You are talking as if you know me." Oliver observed their face when he said that.

"Why wouldn’t we?" They smiled.

Oliver ignored the part about them knowing his identity. It didn’t really matter in the end.

"Anyway, you don’t look like you work for the thug-like father and son duo who own M-fresh. So, let me give you a warning. This is a battle of death between me and the son of b*tch who owns this place. Either I am going to die, or everyone else is. So, it would be in your best interest get the f*ck out of here." Oliver politely gave them a warning.

"Ha ha ha." One of them laughed and looked at his companion. "This delusional young man seems to think he is scary."

*scoffs*

"Should we teach him what scary really is?" The other one asked.

*smiles*

They smiled and channelled their mana. Suddenly, a glowing blue orb formed on their palm and turned into a clear ball of water.

"Maybe some pain would return you to your senses." They said and shot out the ball of water towards him.

Oliver smiled and took out his alloy blade, instantly slashing forward while infusing mana into it.

Guns and armour-piercing rounds became irrelevant the moment two B-rankers appeared. He was forced into melee combat.
