Chapter 60: Execution 9

Swift Sword was not stupid. He understood his predicament the moment he saw the communication device.

The implications of having a military communication device on him were many. And none of it was favorable to him.

Either he is related to the military or someone high up in the military. If it was a stolen device, it meant that their conversation would be recorded and shared.

All in all, it was bad.

Swift Sword bit his lips and dashed out of the basement a few seconds after Oliver left.

Meanwhile, far away in a mansion within the city centre, a man was seething in anger.

He clutched the phone in his hand tightly until it crumbled into broken pieces.

Indra had just come out of the shower when he read the email.

His silvery white hair and smooth, clear skin glowed under the bright sunlight falling through the window. His chiseled body and sharp jawline added to his handsomeness an ethereal touch.

At a glance, he looked like a god.

If someone didn’t know his personality, they would consider him a warm and caring person.

Overall, he was pleasing to the eye.

However, you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. The expression he wore while reading the message was anything but pleasant.

His face was contorted into a hideous scowl as anger flared in his mind.

Someone had investigated one of his businesses, found the illegal activities it conducted, the relationship with demons, and even found that it was related to him.

Then that very person has compiled the data into a presentation document and had sent it to him via some kind of anonymous email service.

It had graphs, charts, and all kinds of diagrams depicting crimes related to him.

Indra felt his heart burn with fury.

The person was trolling by making the PPT.

Who was this crazy person?

He wanted to rip the person apart alive.

However, he didn’t have much time. The crazy person was about to reveal it to the world.

Indra had no way to stop it.

This was a critical point in his life. He was about to be selected as one of the top executives of Nova Rift.

Unwanted attention and accusations would harm his prospects. So, he wanted to clear it away by using any means necessary.

’In about half an hour, he will go public.’

Currently, the time is 9:04 am. He had about 26 minutes left.

Indra immediately clothed himself.

Even though he couldn’t stop the person, he might be able to destroy the evidence. Thinking that, he decided to use all his power to wipe away M-fresh from the surface of the planet.

For that, he rapidly called all the underworld connections he had, even demons.

He was about to launch an attack against M-fresh while he stood in safety, hidden in the darkness.

-

Why did Oliver think plan C was the craziest of them all?

It was of Indra.

Indra was an unpredictable man. The means and methods he had were impossible to guess.

The moment he was dragged into the plan, it would bring forth chaos.

—-

While Indra was sending an army of villains, demons, and underworld thugs to the M-fresh HQ to destroy evidence, another group was preparing to set out and eliminate evil.

The team under Thunder Emperor set out within a few minutes after receiving the message from Oliver.

They knew who the sender was, and he could be trusted. So, a group of twenty people set off along with Thunder Emperor and Achara towards the M-fresh HQ.

—-

There was a black market app that only a few people could access.

It showed real-time info on all the bounties currently available.

Bounties were money given for securing special items like mana beast materials, artifacts, rare resources or for eliminating certain targets, most likely people.

Oliver flipped the communication device and accessed the app.

In it, suddenly, a new name popped up.

"M-fresh CEO - Thomas Klad. Bounty - 10,000,000 creds. Current location - M-fresh HQ."

Oliver read the information on the page with a smile.

"M-fresh business empire was worth two to three hundred million creds. Most of it was owned by the founder’s family and Thomas Klad. Killing him for 10,000,000 creds would be difficult. But it was worth the effort since earning 10,000,000 in any other way would be more difficult."

"So, a lot of assassins would be on his tail from now on." Oliver smiled.

Just like expected, Indra put a bounty on one of his people when they became a stumbling block for him.

"That damned b*tch is evil." Oliver’s smile widened.

He was happy that a bounty was put on the front page of the black market.

In the past, he used to earn a living through bounties.

So, he felt a little nostalgic looking at it.

"Should I earn some money while at it?" Free money was always welcome.

Since he planned to kill Thomas, he thought it would be better to earn some money while at it.

For the bounty to be completed, he would have to send an image of the dead guy as proof.

It was easy to do since he had a military communication device that could obfuscate his identity.

Oliver walked out of the basement and onto the floor above.

—-

Thomas, who was on the twentieth floor of the building, felt his phone ring.

The moment he saw the caller, he quickly picked it up and put it to his ear.

"Hello." He said in a subservient manner.

"Who did you offend?" Suddenly, the person on the other side asked.

It was Indra. And he was furious about what was happening.

"???" Thomas was confused.

Who did he offend?

He has yet to learn of the death of his son or about what happened with Oliver.

"I don’t understand, sir." He said politely.

"FUCK! You don’t know. Quickly delete all the information about our operations from your system." Indra ordered.

"Yes, but!" Thomas agreed to do so without question.

However suddenly he remembered about the data being stolen from his affiliates and store. He was about to speak about them.

"..but!"

"Shut the fuck and do what I asked," Indra shouted and prevented him from speaking.

"Yes, sir. I will get to it." Thomas replied meekly.

"..."

The call ended.
