Chapter 61: Execution End

Oliver thrives in chaos.

When the world cries, he swims in the ocean of tears.

When the world bleeds, he sucks up the blood to grow stronger.

When the world screams, he dances to it like it were music.

All in all, he was a nut job.

However, one thing separated Oliver from true insanity: his relentless pursuit of his goals.

While his means to achieve it were often shady and unorthodox, his goals and ideals were always reasonable. Thus, the villainous person was seemingly better at doing the job of a hero.

Unlike heroes who shy away from difficult situations, Oliver forces his way through to it. So, regardless of his weakness, he finds ways to accomplish what he wants.

An example of it was what happened a short while ago.

Oliver, while being similar in combat ability to a C rank, found a way to take out a business worth hundreds of millions while also achieving his short-term goal of eradicating his enemies, who were more powerful and wealthy.

Currently, he was standing in front of the M-Fresh CEO’s office. He smiled as the last pieces fell into place.

"I always wanted to kill him with my own hands." Oliver pushed open the door to the office and muttered. In his past life, he murdered the CEO using tricks. Fortunately, he was lucky in this life.

Oliver had climbed up from the basement floor, directly to the top floor, by using the elevator shaft. He was almost undetectable when he fully utilised his powers.

So, when he opened the door, he saw a middle-aged man frantically running around the office, scraping documents and destroying his computer hard drives.

"Hello!" Oliver greeted the man with a pleasant smile.

He was truly happy to see the son of a b*tch.

"Who?" The man looked at Oliver in confusion. freeweɓnøvel.com

The middle-aged man was the CEO of M-Fresh, Thomas Klad.

"Death," Oliver replied as a matter of fact.

Immediately, a tentacle of blood blitzed through the room and punctured Thomas’s chest.

Thomas was a C rank superhuman. But just like his son, he was not an experienced fighter.

He stood, shocked and defenseless, as the blood tentacles tore through his expensive suit and bore into his chest.

His eyes were wide open, showing reluctance and fear in his final moments as his body fell to the ground.

The death of both the father and son was anticlimactic.

They were rich and powerful.

And yet, before death, they were nothing.

Oliver let out a satisfied sigh.

He had successfully changed one of the most critical events in his life. Now, he doesn’t need to fear that his family will be targeted.

Although he was satisfied with the outcome, he was not exactly thrilled. Many more dangers lurk in the city. The last thing he wanted to do was let down his guard.

"Smile."He muttered.

Then he snatched the smartphone from the table nearby.

It was Thomas’s phone.

He unlocked it with Thomas’s fingerprint and took a picture.

The military communication device didn’t have a camera. So, he used Thomas’s phone to capture the image of his corpse and sent it to his device. Then, he wrote a short message and emailed the picture to Grizzly, asking him to redeem the bounty after a while.

"Consider the bounty payment for the mental suffering you put me and my family through." Oliver kicked the corpse away and walked out of the room.

Soon, explosions, noises, and screams surrounded M-fresh HQ.

People were screaming and fleeing while some of the floors caught on fire.

The bounty that Indra put out seemed to have caused a frenzy. M-fresh was under attack from all sides. Mostly by villains, while a few demons also participated.

But that was not a problem.

When walking down the building, Oliver saw a giant metal behemoth hovering above the building. The Behemoth was literally called the Behemoth. It was the third-generation tactical mech deployment airship used by the military.

It was an airship powered by refined mana stones. It looked like a 100-meter-wide flying saucer and was capable of carrying three full-sized mechs. Just the shadow it cast was scared off the thugs and villains who were attracted by the bounty, leaving only the suicide squad of demons within.

"They are on time." Oliver glanced at the sky and thought.

He could guess who came there on the Behemoth. After all, he had sent an email to Thunder Emperor, too.

A short while later, Oliver found himself standing in front of two people.

One was an old man and the other was a young woman.

"Nice to meet you, headmaster. And you, too, Ms Achara." Oliver politely greeted them.

They were currently standing together inside a private room inside the Behemoth. Its interior was minimalist, without any furnishing or decorations, giving off a strict and focused vibe.

"You do not need to call me headmaster anymore. You have graduated, and I have decided to step back from the role of headmaster." Thunder Emperor pointed Oliver to a chair and made him sit while speaking.

"Okay, should I call you Thunder Emperor, then?"

"No, it’s a forgotten name. I am not a hero anymore."

"Then?"

"Call me Commander from now on."

"Commander? Why?"

"Because I am recruiting you."

"I don’t want to..."

"This time. You don’t have a choice."

"Why?" Oliver asked, confused.

"Because I said so." The old man was unwilling to explain.

"That’s not a nice way to begin a conversation."

"I never wanted to be nice, brat. You called me here to clean up the mess you created. And do you expect it to be free?"

"I didn’t really call you here. That’s a gross mischaracterization of what I did. The truth is that you came after reading an email I randomly sent. By the way, I sent a similar email to someone else. Do you want to know who that is?" Oliver teased. "He responded faster than you." He added with a smile.

"Achara, continue the clean-up operation. Capture everyone suspicious and kill them if they are demons." Suddenly, the headmaster turned to his side and said, "Then he turned to Oliver and said, ’Let us have a long conversation.’
