Kailen picked up the call and put it on loudspeaker.

" Sir, it’s me Micheal, Felicia’s father. Can we meet?"

Kailen mused inwardly as his eyes narrowed on hearing the familiar voice " Why would he want to meet me. I could at least hear him out later for the sake of being fond of his daughter, however now is not the time for that"

Kailen stared at Arrie ,standing beside him, waiting for him to finish his call. They had to purchase the A ranked energy orbs as soon as possible. He didn’t have the time to meet someone right now

He responded " Mr Micheal, I am currently in the middle of something , could we talk lat-?"

Arrie tugged Kailen by the sleave ,whispering to him " If it won’t take long, you can get the energy orb later, also the person’s voice doesn’t sound well, it’s like they need you help with something "

Felicia’s smile appeared in Kailen’s mind , then he sighed inwardly "If what Arrie is saying is the case, I suppose for the sake of the little girl, I have to help him "

He nodded at Arrie’s words then replied to Micheal.

" Nevermind , let’s meet . Where are you now ?"

Micheal seemed shocked and equally relieved that Kailen had agreed to meet him as soon as possible.

Quickly he voiced with relief and politeness " I’m at the Richester cubicle complex. No need to bother yourself coming here,you can give me your directions and I can come to you"

Rochester cubicle complex? Kailen mused , That’s the cubicle he was sent to before he plundered credits and moved to a better apartment.

" Oh, no need. I’m close to the place. Be there in a minute "

" Alright sir "

Kailen ended the call, then together with Arrie, they headed towards the destination.

A minute later, the duo came across a young man with dark hair and brown eyes standing beneath a tree .

Before Kailen and Arrie even got to where he was, the young man who seemed to be in his twenties walked towards them.

" A pleasure to meet you again sir" He turned towards Arrie " Nice to meet you young madam"

" Just call me Arrie please " Arrie’s bubly demeanor seemed to have dispelled the naturally cold atmosphere Kailen carried with him.

Micheal,now a little bit relaxed voiced " Let me not waste your time sir, as you are a busy person. I need your help with a place to stay. I know it sounds selfish after all that you’ve done for me and my family but, you are the only person I could think of that could help me get out of the mess I’m in now. A group of individuals calling themselves credit plunderers have been going around the cubicle complex bullying lower ranked awakeners for their student credits. Unfortunately for me. I became a victim of this incident and not only have I been kicked out of my cubicle, I also have no student credits to even find a new place to live. I would have taken on a mission to at least make ends meet . However even the small amount of student credits required to take on missions is something in lack .Sir please, if you have it is in your power, help me". Micheal bowed his head as he spoke to Kailen his voice firm and choky.

Kailen and Arrie stared at Micheal as he spoke.

Thanks to the detective’s gimmick skill , Kailen knew the man was not lying to him, also he didn’t have any evil intentions backing his words.

Also the man clenched his fists as he spoke, to a point where blood started oozing out of his hands. Kailen and Arrie could realize that it wasn’t necessarily just as a result of the anger he felt towards the guys who had extorted him. The man was clenching his fists out of shame of being weak enough to be bullied.

" This guy had to put down his pride and ask me for help. It seems it took a lot of effort for him to do this. Not only does he have a daughter, he also has a wife. Perhaps they could be the reason why he went to great lengths to attend this university?" Kailen mused inwardly. He had felt that helplessness this man was feeling right now before. This was a world where the strong preyed on the weak. He had been bullied on countless occasions in the past two years and had been treated like trash after all. If there was someone who knew it felt like to be helpless it was Kailen .

As for Arrie, she also felt the same way Kailen felt.

Her past was even more abusive and worse than Kailen’s own. She had been a helpless powerless girl who had been used as a sex doll and tossed aside several times. If Kailen who had been exposed to the cruelties of the world for just two years could relate to this gentleman’s helplessness and powerlessness, there was no way she couldn’t.

Surprisngly, the duo sighed at the same time,resonating with the man’s situation.

" Even if Kailen decides not to help him, I will do something about his situation. However since he asked for Kailen’s help, let me see how he will handle the situation" Arrie stared at Micheal with tender eyes full of sympathy.

Micheal still remained in a bowing posture until he felt a hand tap his shoulder.

" Enough formalities, Mr Micheal, please don’t bow" Kailen had long since decided to help the man, even if not for him, for the sake of his daughter.

Micheal’s eyes widened , then he straightened himself. He did not want to be disrespectful to the man who had saved his life and that of his family.

Therefore he straightened himself .

" Why did you enroll into the university?"

His eyes widened at Kailen’s question. Micheal was not stupid . He knew that the young sir wanted to screen his motivation for why he was pursuing this path, then decide whether to help him or not. Little did he know that Kailen had already made up his mind to help him for the sake of his daughter.

" I want to protect my wife and child, and give them the life they deserve sir . I want to be strong enough to be a pillar they can rest on. That is why I enrolled in the university ,to obtain resources to increase my strength, so that I can be strong enough to give them the life they deserve"

Micheal’s reply caused not only Arrie’s ,but Kailen’s eyes to widen . Thanks to the Detective Gimick’s skill, Kailen knew that this man was not lying to him, he was telling the truth.

Also the man’s words had confirmed Kailen’s conjecture that he had probably enrolled in the university for the sake of his family.

Kailen honestly found Michael’s motivation to be admirable. This man in a way reminded him of his father’s love for him and his mother.

" For some reason, you remind me of my father . He was someone who went through great lengths for me and my mum. Initially before we came to meet you, I had made up my mind to help you because I have a soft spot for Felicia. However , our little interaction has made me realize that you are an admirable man.Not only that, I know how you feel. That feeling of helplessness ,you feel, I’ve felt it several times in the past . I will send you enough students credits so that you can get yourself a better apartment, enough for yourself and for training resources. If you need any help,Mr Micheal, feel free to contact me"

Arrie’s eyes grew more tender as a warm feeling flooded her heart " Kailen does have a heart after all. It seems he is willing to open his heart to others. It seems he took my advice"

Tears almost fell from Michael’s eyes as he stared at Kailen. He honestly did not know what to say.

Also,this was the first time Kailen’s voice did not seem cold. His voice seemed warm and genuine.
