Sigmund watched as the woman turned to the direction of the sound, taking her apt attention from him to somewhere else.

She abruptly stood up, sauntering to the source of the sound.

Sigmund turned to see it was a couple of men, panting from tiredness but tense bodies filled with urgency. He watched their body language relax immediately and she immediately went to them.

He watched as she was suddenly embraced by one of the men, and her head tilted by another to exchange saliva with.

Sigmund sneered, pushing down the irritating feeling that could only be attributed to disgust.

For a while, it was just the woman exchanging intimacies with different men.

Khalifa passively accepted their movements, knowing very well how worried they must’ve been.

"Are you alright?" Cauis asked, checking her one more time for injuries.

It was around this time the men noticed her disgruntled clothing and their eyes darkened.

Khalifa’s lips twitched. "I’m uninjured, don’t worry."

Kaize looked at her suspiciously, "Then why haven’t you changed—

His voice died down when he looked in one of the corners. Except for Kylo, who was already aware of the other presence, the rest of the men followed his sights and flinched when they saw there was someone else there.

Cauis was the first to speak, eyes not leaving the striking man. "This is…"

Khalifa blinked and looked at her men and their guarded faces. Her lips twitched. Can she tell them they had nothing to worry about? The guy may be handsome, but he’s a robot with flesh.

Maybe he released oil instead of semen.

"This is Dr. Sigmund Zed. He’s the only survivor on this floor."

Kaize narrowed his eyes at the man, not hiding how he stared at his unique features.

He then asked, with a serious expression on his face, "You sure he didn’t eat them?"

Then he looked at Khalifa in alarm, touching her shoulders, "Are you alright?!"

Khalifa rolled her eyes.

She knew this line of topic wouldn’t go anywhere so she just stared at everyone, "Explore the other floors already," she said, "The elevator would be troublesome without Paul though."

There were no stairs, no fire exits, and the only way to go up and down was through the elevator.

Kylo was the first to nod, as he was the one with the tallest sense of responsibility among her men. "Stay here," he said and leaned down to kiss her. "We’ll check the other floors."

Cauis stepped forward, "I’ll stay with her. My ability is most useful here," he said, and the others reluctantly agreed.

Although most of the plants here used hydroponic farming, there was still soil. This place must be the only place who had them.

Hugo sighed, knowing he’d probably be the most tired today. "Energy," he said, prying the other men away from Khalifa to pull her flush to him.

Without shame, he leaned his head down at an angle, immediately capturing the woman’s lips and tongue.

The men could only suffer as they exchanged passionate exchange of saliva, the sound of wet kisses echoing across the halls of the large room.

"Okay, that’s enough," Kaize said, prying the bastard away from their woman. He then pulled Khalifa to him as well, doing the same thing…

Basically before heading out, the men took turns to kiss her. They only stopped when Cauis reminded them they didn’t have all day in this place.

Hugo though couldn’t help but lean down one more time, giving her a lingering kiss.

"Reward me well later," he told her, very seductively. He licked her lips before he finally parted from her. "I mean, please, my queen."

Khalifa rolled her eyes but the twitch of her lips told the men she was stopping a giggle.

"Just go."

And they left (they really did, finally) promising to get back in a few hours.

At this time, looking at the couple, Sigmud just sneered and turned away somewhere.

"Where are you going?"

"Packing up," he said, "I am being rescued, am I not?"

"You didn’t get hurt did you?" Cauis asked, his eyes gravitating to her exposed skin.

She was so very supple—it effortlessly urged men to get rid of a few buttons.

She touched his face, pinching it, as if aware of his thoughts. "It’s fine. Not a scratch." She said, "Those shallow wounds were easy to heal."

Cauis smiled and kissed her forehead, though his attention was inevitably shifted to the scientist with such unique features.

"About him…" he said, motioning towards the other man, who was sitting in a chair in front of the control panel far away from them.

"He’s part of the virus team."

He blinked. "Really?"

"Yes, we got lucky," she said, "He happened to have led the team."

Cauis narrowed her eyes at her, making her blink. "And you just believed him?"

She giggled at his jealous face and kissed his cheek, immediately making him feel better. "Well, the General could confirm his claims when he sees him, no?"

"Assuming he comes to the Peace Base. Wouldn’t it be more likely he’d stay in the Capitol base?"

She hadn’t thought of this, but she shrugged in the end. "It doesn’t matter where he stays, as long as…" her azure eyes couldn’t help but gravitate toward the man.

To her surprise, their eyes actually met, before his sights shifted to look beyond her.

"As long as he contributes to solving the world’s problems."

A few hours later, the rest of the people arrived, shaking their heads as they brought no good news.

"There were no survivors on the other floor. Although not everyone turned to zombies, the others died of thirst and hunger."

Khalifa and Cauis frowned, extremely saddened by the news, while Sigmund didn’t have any change in expression.

"Then, their corpses…" she mused and Kaize answered her.

"I already incinerated them."

"The equipment…"

"Oh, right, we’ll see what we can bring."

This time Khalifa came with them while the ’outsiders’ like Abu, stayed with the doctor, so Khalifa could use her space as needed.

They took whatever they could, with Khalifa taking much of the advanced equipment in the space.

The men were very surprised.

"How big is your space?"

"About as big as a large warehouse now," she said, "But I’m dedicating a third for the farm."

"Where those delicious strawberries and fruits were."

"Ah, yes, love your space."

When they got back, carrying some handheld items for believability, they felt quite satisfied by their loot and immediately prepared to go.

They all looked at the aloof man who didn’t seem to be particularly affected by all the commotion.

At least they got one survivor.

They could only hope that this one man could help tilt the odds in humanity’s favor.
