*MEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAA!*

The crazed screams of goats echoed out at the border of the settlement.

More than three hundred goats were assembled outside the settlement beyond the arrays of gigantic rig bones used to demarcate the borders.

Some of these goats were standing on hovering, circular, metal platforms with circular runes glowing under them. Others stood on the ground, stomping their hooves on the sand and beating like mad men.

All of these goats had awakened their hearts and were a force to be reckoned with.

At the front of this warband of restless goats, leading them was a large goat with glowing horns and a strong build.

The goat gave it the aura of a being that was one with the earth, immovable and incredibly stubborn.

This was the same Earth Goat that had been captured by N'bayé during the siege 9f the mountain. Time had passed and now he was released and working for the kingdom.

His body was no longer malnourished and thin like he had been when he was in the prison. Now his body was robust and his goat beard was fluffy and long.

He was the one who had released that maddening goat scream just now.

The goats behind him were getting restless and noisy. The settlement was right in front of them and they were wondering why they still had to wait.

The goat leader ignored his people, he was to wait for N'bayé's signal. Only then would they be able to assure success.

So many rewards had been promised but he had to do everything as instructed by N'bayé, only she knew how she wanted things to play out.

He had heard that there was an insider within the settlement that would help them out, a certain pig that had sold the settlement out for access to refined metal.

Commander Bibi was positioned in front of the settlement with an army of more than five hundred wolves. Three hundred of whom had already awakened their heart powers.

The right side of the settlement had a mix of deputy wolves, birds, foxes, and a few bears. This mixed group was led by Diane, the War Lioness among the king's consort.

The snakes and moles were not here as they were needed for something else, so he heard.

For this campaign, only four lionesses were present. Eidel and Ruda, who the eagles had helped escape the settlement not long ago, then there was N'bayé and Diane.

'Where is the king?' He wondered to himself. News of the king had been at a hush for some time now and he wondered what was happening. Ever since he left that prison, he had never seen the golden furs of that lion, not once.

Sometimes he wondered if the king even knew that he had been released from his captivity.

*GROWL!*

The growls of different beasts reached the ears of the goats and their leader, but they remained unfazed.

Most of these goats had been gathered within the last two days and weren't as loyal as N'bayé would want, but the herd mentality was very effective, she had discovered.

All she needed was for one or a few key goats to follow a certain path and the rest would automatically do the same. It was a fantastic thing that N'bayé wished regular predators had.

The wolves had the pack mentality so that was still good.

With the goat leader leading them with the righteous fear of N'bayé and Kael and the back of his mind, added with the possibility of rewards, the newly recruited goats were able to herd them toward fighting for this campaign.

These growling beasts behind the border of the settlement did not affect the stubborn minds of the goats. As long as their goat leader was there, they were confident.

The goat leader stomped his front hoof on the sand, directing his power forward and causing the sand grains to circle around his body.

His horns glowed a dim earth yellow, he was really, he lowered his head. He could sense two opposing vibrating forces coming from the settlement grounds, and these vibrations were rising.

The signal, this wasn't it, but something was happening.

Then, in the distance, a blue light caught his eye. A metal orb had flown out of the sea high into the sky while rapidly flashing short bursts of blue light.

With how high the orb had reached, it was seen by every force that had surrounded the settlement.

This was the signal.

The goat leader's heart beat rapidly, he stomped his hooves on the sand and screamed at the top of his lungs.

*MEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!*

The sand grains were blasted away as he charged at the growling beasts who were surprised that one of the goats had decided to rush at them.

*MEEEEEEEAH!*

*MEEEEEAAAAH!*

*MAAAAAAAAAH!*

The goats, seeing their leader charging forward reacted like holy warriors who had just received the blessings from the gods.

They screamed with vigor and craze, stomping their hooves on the sand and charging straight at the settlement.

The goat leader was the first goat to reach the border, but before him, whips of sand had already risen out from the ground to attack the beasts and rabbits in front of him.

The goats were like spears made of horns and hooves, they pierced through the sorry excuse of a defensive formation, using their horns to break through any enemy that stood in their way.

This that operated from the top of those hovering platforms screamed and hit down balls of fire and blasts of electricity.

They bashed their way into the settlement with their numbers and increasing momentum, but this naturally drew the attacks of all the creatures within that area.

The settlement had a lot of creatures living within after all. If not that most of the aquatic creatures had gone into the sea to look for the rumored treasure, their numbers would be much more than this.

It was also at this exact time that those intense vibrations that the goat leader had been sensing reached a frightening peak.

*BOOM!*

A booming sound was heard as something or someone was launched into the sea with incredible force. The water parted ways as the figure skid over its surface before stopping and hovering in place.

This sudden activity from within confused the inhabitants of the settlement. Many creatures liked behind them, hoping that the enemy was not attacking from behind them.

However, this also allowed the goats, wolves, and other forces to use the opportunity to push deeper into the settlement.

*****

N'bayé floated above the water, watching as the water on the shore fell back into each other.

Her arms were positioned in front of her belly in an X formation, and the runes on those arms glowed brightly.

N'bayé's expression was unbearably cold, the red runes in them spun rapidly as she stared at the distant bunny-eared woman.

If she hadn't blocked that kick, it may not have done serious damage to her, but it would have affected the child in her womb.

A growl escaped from N'bayé's throat, a sign of her displeasure.

Still hovering above the waters, she directly transformed into her three-meter-tall lioness form.

The more than five hundred orbs that had risen out of the seawater lit up with electricity runes, flashing dangerously.

There was no point in delaying, she had decided to deal with this rabbit thoroughly.

"I didn't initially plan to kill you," N'bayé said as the levitating runes in her back and hips shone intensely, "but…."

Stella, who stood on top of the damaged bone hut, didn't bother to give a snarky remark, she knew it was just a ploy to unsettle her thinking.

And she was right, N'bayé flashed from her position and Stella was almost not able to keep track of her movements.

Without thinking too much, she raised her right arm to block her face. Just in time for a large clawed paw to descend on her from seemingly nowhere.

The force of the slap shot Stella down, obliterating the bone hut she had stood on. She crashed through a series of buildings before finally stopping under a rubble next to Skybaud's body.

N'bayé didn't give her time to fight back, close to two hundred metal orbs brimming with electricity flew after Stella's form.

They circled around before shooting down beams of blue electric power at Stella.

At the same time, multiple makeshift turrets in the modified bone huts activated and started shooting teeth projectiles at N'bayé and the incoming enemy forces.

Even now, Stella still had her attention on the whole settlement, the rabbits in particular.

N'bayé floated above the destroyed bone huts, she seemed to be standing on an invisible platform. Manifesting around her was a blue magic barrier that vibrated softly as the teeth projectiles bounced off the surface.

The Magus Lioness was about to follow up with another series of attacks when the pulse of a Primordial Lion passed through her body all of a sudden.

N'bayé froze, as well as Diane and many lions within the forest.
