Chapter 65: 64. A Real Dragon (2)

"Tha-That-That’s a real dragon."

The person with strange voice pointed at me and I started walking towards them feeling the snow around me slowly hardening into ice.

"A real dragon? This brat? Well, that explains that monstrous body."

I didn’t have time so I needed to get rid of one of them and interrogate the other.

"Enough chitchat, I don’t have time or patience to deal with both of you so, one of you hurry and die." I grimaced as I rushed ahead towards the injured man.

"That’s so rude." The man chuckled and before I could land and attack on him, his partner jumped in.

My fist met with something hard almost as if I had punched a steel wall. I was pushed back slightly by the impact and even Drac stumbled back holding his arm which he had blocked my attack with.

"Drac, get to your work. I’m his opponent." The man stood up.

"But-"

"No, buts!" The man got into position.

I didn’t want to elaborate it anymore so, I shot water slicers at him which were again intercepted by his partner.

"What the-"

"He’s... really strong." Drac spoke and shook his hand making the blood droplets fall on the snow.

It was a surprise for me that he had hard skin that was enough to take the brunt of water slicers which had the power of water shot at the speed of a water jet and still keep standing with his limbs intact. But then again, he wasn’t a human or a shifter to begin with so, it was natural that he was able to take my attacks and my Dragon’s Presence.

"I don’t know what your reasons are for trying to destroy this wall but, I won’t let you. As long as I’m alive here, you’re not getting through." I spoke making the Drac slowly push his hood back revealing his shaggy red hair and tanned skin.

He was tall, around five feet nine or so but he was also slightly hunched over and had red scales on his arms. He was partially transformed or maybe he was always like this.

[Lesser Dragons are hybrid species of the Pureblood Dragon species. They lack the strength and the power to command mana as the Pureblood Dragons who possess the Dragon Heart. They were created by the contamination of the Pureblood Dragon bloodline and were later used to serve the Pureblood Dragons. They cannot use the original skills to the full extent as their bodies aren’t strong enough to encompass it.

Despite that, they can transform into a hybrid Dragon, that have thick and sturdy scales covering their body, they also hold a portion of mana according to the bloodline they have. Regardless of inheriting only a portion of the power, they are extremely strong for any human to fight.

Lesser Dragons are not highly intelligent species but they are loyal and devoted to the Master of their choosing, and would fulfill any given task unconditionally.]

I read the description of his species and then looked at him as he stood in front of me with the red scales in full view.

"Oi, Drac! Focus on your own work!"

"You’re no match for him, Clyde. He’s a Dragon and a mere human cannot last for long. He’s been going easy on you that’s why you’re still alive, if he were fighting seriously then you won’t still be here."

"You’re saying you can last?"

"As long as you can get out of here."

"I’m not leaving my job unfinished."

The man tried to stand up but I increased my Dragon’s Presence, targetting him and he slumped on the ground gasping for air.

"S-Stop!" Drac gasped.

I ignored him and increased the pressure on his partner, Clyde.

"I’m your opponent!"

"You think even you have a chance against me?" I spoke putting the pressure on him making him gasp and clutch his chest.

He gritted his teeth and moved despite the pressure and threw his fist out, it was covered in fire.

I leaned back as his fists came so fast that the only way one would be able to know he was attacking was because of the fire that left the trail in the air.

I was dodging without any problem until I threw my fist out laced with Supreme Aqua Dragon’s mana making Drac grit his teeth and blood to splurt out before he flew a few feet back.

I didn’t give him a chance to recover as I jumped ahead and swung my foot. It connected with his arm that blocked it before he threw his fist at me. I blocked it and he jumped back putting some distance between us but I followed right after.

I aimed a high kick but he avoided it again but I swung my other foot in a roundhouse kick which he narrowly avoided. His reflexes were good thanks to his Dragon’s bloodline but his body wasn’t as strong.

He managed to push past me and gain some distance and instantly prepared for an attack. I saw him shoot the beam again and I took it head on again, moving forth without having any effect.

I shot a large beam of water with the speed of sound that smashed against his abdomen before he was thrown away.

"Who sent you?" I asked as I walked towards him.

But before I could reach him Clyde stood up again with his dagger in hand blocking the path between me and Drac.

"It is our bad luck, the last time it was the Archduke and this time it’s you."

My eyebrows furrowed and jaw clenched as he mentioned the Grand Duke.

"Do you know where the Archduke and Archduchess are?" I asked.

Clyde smirked, "Who knows? Maybe lying in their icy grave on the Siern."

The blood boiled underneath my skin and I clenched my fists. They were begging for a painful death, not that I would hesitate with their death or interrogation now that they pissed me off.

"You were the ones who created that avalanche, right?" I stepped ahead feeling my anger being released from my body in the form of waves. The snow disintegrated from near my feet and the ground and the air seemed to shudder.

"So, what?"

"Good then... I guess I can take you both out without any mercy." I growled.

Drac walked up and stood beside his partner.

"The reinforcements of their side must be close by, Drac. Make a run for it while you can."

"I’m not leaving my work undone."

The two attacked me at once from two sides, I kicked Clyde making him fly away and gripped Drac’s wrist ignoring the flames on his hand and slammed him on the ground.

He wheezed and blood splurted out of his mouth, I still had his hand in my grasp as I saw Clyde who landed a few feet away struggling to get up.

"Where are the Archduke and Archduchess?" I asked.

Clyde looked at me and I twisted Drac’s hand hearing the sickening crunch resound in the air along with Drac’s muffled cry and Clyde glared at me.

"Answer. Now." I growled.

"We-We don’t know!" Clyde shouted.

"Who ordered you to destroy the Wall?" I asked.

Clyde’s lips pursed and I twisted Drac’s arm again making him shriek out loudly this time. He struggled but I kicked three times in his side making him groan and curl up.

"Who ordered you to destroy the Wall?" I demanded.

"We-we can’t tell even if you kill us."

"Fine then, I’ll kill you."

I shot a water slicer his way, he narrowly dodged it but it sliced through his side making the blood splash out on the snow and he slumped out gritting his teeth.

"Clyde!" Drac shouted.

The sudden burst of heat and hot gas created the explosion beneath me, I felt myself being airborne for a moment and Drac got out of my grasp before he hurried over to his partner’s side.

"Clyde!"

"Drac, run!"

I landed without any problem and walked over to the two intruders, I shot another water jet bullet and Drac blocked it by his body again.

He turned to look at me and stood back up, "I’m... not that weak. Even without a Mana Heart like you, I can fight."

I didn’t respond as my anger was starting to create a veil over my reasoning.

These bastards not only destroyed the Third Wall but were also responsible for the disappearance or deaths of Archduke Alarice and Lady Dahlia. The ones who created so much a mess and destroyed a child’s life and also of those countless others who faced the calamity of having their defense line shattered.

Drac lunged at me and I sidestepped avoiding his fist, he swung his foot midair which I gripped tightly and slammed him on the ground again.

I activated the Dragon’s Presence on full scale and concentrated it all over him making his eyes go wide and his yellow pupils converge in thin lines.

He choked and I placed my foot down on his chest to keep him to trying to escape, he writhed and wriggled under my foot and I heard the sound of something flying through the air.

I brought my hand up and caught the dagger that was headed for me and looked at Clyde who was running towards me.

If this went on, I would really end up killing him.

Clyde was gravely injured with blood profusely flowing from his wound and I was just thinking of killing him in another attack until I felt the Mana thrum around me.

"About time." I mumbled as a mana lance flew through the air and nearly sliced through Clyde’s shoulder making him gasp and fall back.

I felt the various presences behind me rushing towards me followed by their footfalls.

"Is it them?"

"Thank God, the wall is safe!"

"Hurry and get those bastards!"

"Sir Ocean?!"

I could hear the voices rushing towards me from behind.

"You bastards aren’t quite lucky," I spoke looking down at Drac who stared up at me with liquidised eyes.

"Death would’ve been better but now, I will rip the truth out of your throats."

Drac’s pupils quivered before his eyes rolled back and he passed out.
