The Kingmaker System-Chapter 96 - 95. Fight Between Dragons
Chapter 96: 95. Fight Between Dragons
Clyde and Drac seemed to be under the influence of something as even after their bodies being beaten and bleeding they were still standing up and charging ahead at me and Lyall.
"What kind of sorcery is this?" Lyall grunted as he slashed at Clyde while I took care of Drac.
I had activate my Mana Eyes so, I could see the thing that was making them do that.
"The Tyrant has fed them something." I answered as I blocked Drac’s roar.
"What?"
"Yes, it seems like a magic stone or something." I said as I saw the glowing red stone in both of their bellies.
"He’s the worst kind of monster I’ve seen in my life," Lyall grunted and then fell back as Clyde suddenly charged ahead with ferocious attacks.
I didn’t have time to look after him as Drac himself seemed like an upgraded version. These two were way different from the time when I fought them back in Frosthail.
They were humans at that time but now I guess I was facing the weapons made by the Tyrant.
"Lyall, you think you can take that one down?" I asked and Lyall stepped back for a breath.
"Yes,"
"Good," I spoke as I charged towards Drac again.
My Dragon’s Presence was whipping around like a rampaging whirlpool and it was affecting Drac as he was choking but still, he wasn’t stopping at all.
It was like facing an opponent who only knew how to attack, as if the emotions and the feeling of pain and fear was erased from their system.
The sudden realisation made me gasp and I couldn’t help but feel even more angry at the Tyrant.
I shot the water slicers at Drac but his body endured the brunt without taking much damage.
I clenched my fists and ended up getting into a close combat with Drac. His body had grown even more solid from last time yet, he had a disadvantage with me being overpowered.
I kicked his shin making him stumble and swung my foot slamming it under his jaw making him fly up and collide with the marble ceiling.
The cracks appeared on the ceiling before Drac growled and jumped down, the blood flowly from his head, mouth and nostrils yet, it seemed like he wasn’t going to be knocked out with only that much.
He lunged at me with his fists on fire and I gripped his wrist and threw him into the pillars. The pillars shattered at the impact and the tremors ran all the way up to the ceiling making it start to crumble.
The parts of ceiling started collapsing as Drac once again charged at me, I avoided the pieces of falling rubble while dodging his attacks.
The entire audience hall was met with the ground within a few minutes of the fight yet, Drac and Clyde were going without any hint of stopping.
Drac came at me with his body on fire again, I could see the flames licking over his scaly skin and his eyes being frantic and crazed as if he was on high.
The stone in his belly seemed to be giving him energy or rather, it seemed like it was condensing his mana and making him fight regardless of what condition his body was in.
"Drac?" I called but it was of no use.
The stone seemed to be like a virus controlling him.
Drac slammed his fist on the ground where I was just a second ago and he lunged at me at an insane speed as I dodged him.
His fire was starting to spread across the grass that was growing outside the audience hall.
I kicked him in his abdomen thinking it might shatter the stone or at least crack it, Drac flew a few meters away and landed on his feet clutching his stomach as if he’d finally felt some sense of pain.
His eyes were glowing and the blood dropped from his bared fangs. I was facing an enraged animal.
The stone was shockingly unharmed which made it even harder for me to think of a way to make him expel it without having to cut him.
Drac roared and charged towards me again with his whole body ablaze, his fire had started to grow exponentially and I could see the limits of his mana clearly. He was using up his life source, this fight was meant to end with either him or me.
The Tyrant had planned a battle of death.
I and Drac found ourselves in close combat again, his fire and his blows had no effect on me but I still couldn’t help but feel like he was suffering more than I could see. His bloodied face, his tortured eyes and his crazed attacks.
I punched in his stomach again making him fly back and I stole a glance at Clyde who seemed to be in the same state as Drac.
Both of them were lost causes.
But, if I kept going on then it would buy time for the Tyrant to pull something again. For now, I guess what I could do was put an end to their misery.
I didn’t want to kill them because they were really strong and it was the first time that I had seen a Lesser Dragon but it seemed like I had no choice here.
[Defender of Divine Glory advices you to fight like a Dragon.]
"And, how do I do that?"

"You want me to use Mana?"
[Defender of Divine Glory affirms.]
This was a fight between Dragons, even if my opponent was a Lesser Dragon he had the bloodline of a Fire Dragon so, that itself made him quite strong.
I couldn’t hold back in this fight anymore.
I clenched my teeth and stole one glace at Lyall, if I unleashed my mana then, he might end up becoming a collateral damage.
"Lyall, I’m gonna make an explosion, hang on!" I shouted.
"All right!" He hollered back and I accumulated my mana and saw as Drac charged up to me.
I caused the mana to tense and explode as soon as it left my palm and the huge explosion caused the shockwaves to whip away from me sending Drac and the other two flying.
"Lyall, are you all right?" I shouted looking at the dust cloud and smoke that encompassed the entire lawn and saw a figure rushing towards me.
I almost cursed as I jumped out of the way watching Drac’s aflame body still on my back. His fist made the ground shatter and I sighed.
It was a waste of time to hold back.
I accumulated my high amount of mana in my fist and shot towards Drac who did the same. I avoided his punch aiming for my face and punched him straight into his abdomen making his jaw drop open and I heard the sound which I thought was a good news.
Drac flew back but instead of landing on his feet like he did for the past times that I had sent him flying, he landed on his back and rolled over the burnt grass before stopping.
I could see the cracks appearing on the stone and the wisps of the red mana seeping out of it slowly spreading over his body.
My eyebrows furrowed as I saw the red scales on his body starting to glow with the deep red lines appearing on his body matching the ones that were spreading from the stone.
I couldn’t understand what was going on when I saw Drac roar loudly at the sky. The huge red beam of his attack was shot in the sky before it exploded bathing the sky in the hue of red for a few seconds.
"Wha..."
I didn’t get much time to process as Drac got to his feet, at first he was an enraged animal but now, it seemed like an vengeful Dragon.
His body was starting to shift as the red wings sprouted from his back and his claws grew larger and turned black. His face also changed shape and his teeth elongated into large dagger-like fangs.
The steam and fire poured out of his transformed body and I couldn’t help but feel the mana presence of Drac crossing the limits than what his body was capable of housing.
He roared again before he disappeared from his spot and appeared right in front of me. I jumped back watching his swift movements as he attacked me with the ferocity of a predator.
Drac’s dragon transformation wasn’t complete but he seemed to be using his full potential.
His wings flapped and he shot into the air before dropping down at me, I activated my own wings and met him in the sky.
The aerial battle was a little hard as I wasn’t used to fighting with a creature that could fly. Drac’s attacks were also a little awkward but it seemed like he was getting close to his limits.
The glow of the red stone in his belly was throbbing along with the red lines on his body.
He shot his blazing fist at me and I gripped his wrist making him swing his leg but I blocked it before punching his abdomen again making him roar right in my face this time.
I felt the heat of his attack this time but it still did no damage to me.
It was time that I ended this, I changed our positions and shot water slicers at his wings shredding them apart and his blood flew around.
With his wings ripped he couldn’t stay in air anymore with his large body, I let his body fall and slam against the ground before I shot down myself.
Fight like a Dragon. I reminded myself and gathered a huge amount of mana in my fist before slamming it into Drac’s abdomen.
The impact of gravity gave a boost to my attack and I saw Drac’s abdomen complety caved in. His ribs were shattered and his organs were a mess but what caught my interest was the red stone that was also completely shattered now.
Its glow slowly faded and became nothing.
Drac’s body slowly started to shift back to its usual form with his eyes rolled back and blood seeping from every wound on his body.
I turned my attention back to Clyde and Lyall, Clyde had lost his arm and his leg was barely holding up. Lyall was injured but not that severely.
I saw Lyall move in swiftly as the two attacked together before he drove his sword into Clyde’s stomach making him shriek loudly.
Lyall didn’t stop as he reached out and pulled something from the gaping hole in his abdomen before Clyde slumped over and fell to the ground motionless.
Lyall held the thing that he had pulled out of Clyde’s body in his hand before looking at me.
