Chapter 98: 97. Tyrant Rule Ends (2)

"Are you a part of those Revolutionary bugs?" Salem asked and then laughed.

"I must say the Dragons have fallen from their grace,"

His words acted like a blow to me and I my Dragon blood boiled under my skin tempted to show this mongrel his place.

"Says the one who’s stealing the powers from someone else." I retorted and he laughed.

"I’m feeding on the weak." He stated, "You’re a Dragon, right? Don’t you know the law of jungle?"

This bastard is going six feet under.

I looked once at the glass globe and flapped my wings rushing towards it to shatter it and retrieve the person trapped inside.

Just as I was about to punch the glass I felt something grab at my ankle and yanking me away, I felt myself fly and slam into the wall.

[Passive skill Shield of Invulnerability has been activated.]

The air was knocked out of my lungs but I didn’t get much time to recover as Salem was onto me with his fists pounding on me.

"What is this? A Dragon so weak that he can’t even handle my fists?!" Salem shouted.

I put my hands up and shot the water slicer making him jump back.

"Not bad..." He snarled looking at me.

"But still very weak."

His smirk was making the veins in my head throb, I wanted to rip it off of his face. But I couldn’t go all out, the Grand Duke was currently trapped in that device and his aura was being sucked out of him.

I had no idea how that was possible but it was probably because of the inscriptions on that pillar. I did have the gift of linguistics but I would need to read it properly in order to understand what was written on those pillars.

"Don’t get distracted." Salem shouted and I saw his large fists coming at me.

I dodged his attacks which seemed to be coming at a blinding speed.

His aura had grown way too much from when I had seen him last time, so, this device was the way for him to increase someone’s mana or aura. As long as he had a source to suck their power from he could transfer that power into someone else.

"How pathetic!" Salem sneered as I continued dodging his attacks.

I was observing the area of this underground basement before calculating all the angles and the way the device was supported by the four pillars. If this device were to fall in another wrong person’s hands then it would be another disaster.

"Why are you so distracted? Are you so worried about that human that you can’t focus on your opponent?" Salem asked as he showered me with his fists, none of them landed.

I swung my foot after accumulating my mana into it and kicked him in the stomach throwing him back.

He coughed a bit before standing back up and looked at me with a crazed, intense look.

"So, you do have some strength in that feeble body of yours."

"Shut it, thief. I hate hearing you tapping nonsense when you don’t even stand a chance against me." I replied making him laugh.

"Even if you’re weak you still have your pride as a Dragon, don’t you?"

I casted the water lances and shot it at him but he jumped away avoiding them and I saw him lunge at me.

I avoided his attacks and focused my attacks to be as low ranged and less harmful to irk him. I used the water rays which were the continuous beams that would travel at high speed to impale the target.

Salem avoided the rays and was headed straight for me. I jumped away avoiding his fist and landed a few feet away from him.

"It seems like the only thing you can utlize after stealing His Grace’s aura is try to delude yourself that you’ve gotten stronger." I spoke up and picked my ear as I added.

"All you’re capable is of smashing your fists into the walls without any real power."

"You’re talking big for a slime who keeps running from my attacks."

"You’re too slow and even if your attacks landed, they won’t have any effect on me."

"Mind your tongue, lizard. You’re talking to the King."

"King of a stolen throne." I corrected making the veins in his neck stand out.

"You’re nothing but a thief," I looked down on him as I added, "you don’t stand a chance against the might of a Dragon with your stolen power."

That must have been the last straw as I saw his body trembling and his aura whipping around. I saw his body starting to shift as his face transformed into that of a beast’s and his shoulders expanded and his body grew larger with his muscles swelling under his skin.

His blonde hair came lose and rested freely over his shoulders and back giving him the look of a lion.

"A lion, huh." I mumbled and his amber eyes fixed on me with his aura blazing.

"I was going to beat some sense into you before making you my bitch but now, I want to skin you alive."

I smirked as I heard him, "Try me."

He disappeared from his place and I could see him moving swiftly from one place to right above mentioned with his large, dark claws ready to shred me to pieces.

I jumped away from my spot making him slash air and I landed away. He was on me in a split second and I avoided his wall-shattering fists again.

"Stay still." He growled and I smirked.

"Can’t you catch me?"

He smashed the wall from behind me again as I easily slipped away from his attacks which seemed to be fueled by rage.

"You can’t even catch up to my speed and you’re dreaming of," I jumped away from his attack, "skinning me alive."

I laughed and his aura stormed around the basement making me rile him up even more.

"I thought you were smart enough but it seems like a prideful beast is only a beast after all."

He stopped for a moment inhaling deeply making his chest swell before a loud roar left his jaws in the form of the shockwave that made the basement tremble.

The roar was quite strong and I could see that his body was starting to feel the strain of the overwhelming aura that was starting to seep out of his body.

"Fool." I mumbled and he roared again.

I avoided his attack again and spoke up, "A kitten might roar better."

He snarled as swung his foot at me, I grabbed his ankle and yanked him off his foot before slamming it into the pillar making it shatter.

The glass globe wobbled a little and Salem stood up again staggering to his feet and glared at me.

Salem growled and I could see the blood dripping from his knuckles and the gash on his back. All of those were simply from smashing into things.

"Idiot." I said as I lifted my hand and a large water beam went and smashed against the ceiling making a plan fall to where Salem was. He jumped away and I kept going until the whole basement started trembling.

"Roar again, kitty. Let me see if you can catch me this time." I challenged as I flapped my wings and hovered in the air looking down at him with a condescending look.

Salem growled as the ceiling started crumbling and he inhaled deeply making me alert myself.

He released a loud, deafening roar and I flapped my wings once letting the roar hit the glass globe behind me. The glass shattered and the globe which was once held up by the four pillars now started falling as none of its supports were present.

Salem stared up as me as I held Alarice in my arms under the light that now spilled down from the hole into the ceiling.

"Is this a trait of you villains to become idiots while fighting me?" I asked and Salem frowned before he realised what he’d just done.

The reason why I was avoiding his blind attacks was because I was leading him to the places which needed to be destroyed.

"This man is the reason why I came to Mordino in the first place. Bringing him here was your biggest mistake. If only you had contained your greed and not set your eyes on Sestia then, you might still have a few more days to rule this place." I explained and Salem roared at me again making me fly up letting his attack smash against the wall of basement.

I could hear the cracks spreading all over the place reuniting with the other cracks that were already formed thanks to me leading the bull by his nose.

"You’re not even worth my time," I announced.

"Stop right there!" Salem shouted while I flapped my wings and soared high up in the air with Alarice.

"Your Grace?" I called making him groan softly.

"You’re safe now, your family is waiting for you. I’m sorry that I was late but, it’s all over now so, rest easy." I spoke making his eyelids to open slightly and his amethyst eyes met mine.

His eyes were the same as Davian’s.

"You..."

The sound of the roar from below made me jerk away and I saw Salem flying out of the hole and landing on the ground while glaring up at me.

"How dare you look down on me!" He snarled as his body started to grow even more and more like that of a lion’s.

"I told you, you’re not worth my time. Piss off, weakling." I spoke.

The best way to rile up a prideful was to demean them till the point of them losing their mind and then, it was almost a piece of cake to take them out.

[Defender of Divine Glory says it’s not a glorious way of defeating an enemy.]

"I’m not the type to waste my time in warning and threats, I’d rather finish my opponent while he’s soliloquising."

[Goddess of Wisdom finds your straightforward attitude newfound.]

"Thank you."

"Your Grace, I know it’s hard but hold on a little." I said and felt him wrapping his arms around my shoulders before I felt Salem roaring at me.

"Come down here and fight me, lizard!"

I sighed rolling my eyes as I focused my mana making the ground start to shatter and the water jets flew in the air from several points destroying the landscape of the palace.

One of those water jets threw Salem up in the air.

"Now watch and learn how a real Dragon’s roar sounds like, Salem." I said before I inhaled deeply accumulating maximum amount of my mana into my lungs.

"You-"

[Supreme Aqua Dragon’s Roar.]

The spell resounded in my head before a large stream of water shot out of my mouth taking the form of a humongous dragon which clamped its jaws around Salem’s small body and flew high in the air.

The dragon had taken shape by my mind’s image and it also moved according to my mind’s control.

I flapped my wings and moved towards the capital from where I could hear the sounds of the swords clashing and people shouting.

The water dragon flew over before dropping down towards the ground, the Tyrant had almost lost his breath and with the impact of this collision. He would be done for.

The people stopped momentarily as they saw the huge Dragon made of water falling down towards them. They quickly started running away before it slammed against the ground making the ground cave in and the rocks and water to fly everywhere.

It almost took them a few minutes to notice the battered up and unconscious body of the Tyrant that was lying in the centre of the crater that had just formed.

"That’s the difference between your and my power." I mumbled before looking at the people who stared up at me.
